  1. Upon 2D publishing in REVIT, some assets are not correctly published or better said are not correctly included in the JSON files and from there are not « clickable » ( = selectable) in the SVG drawings, e.g. in the Web Central consoles that use 2D SVG/HTML viewing.

This seems to happen for assets (e.g. equipment) that belong to « work plane based » families, such as solar panels placed on a slanted roof and defined as such in the properties/constraints.

This kind of family needs to be compatible too in order to be used for modern buildings.

  2. When you define a preventive maintenance (PM) procedure, you can add one or more step(s). This is not mandatory but a step will match a work request (WR) when PM work orders (WO) are generated. This means that if you generate PM WO for a procedure without at least one step, no WO will be generated at all!

This should ideally be improved and a sort of check be implemented. For example upon scheduling the PM tasks by warning the user that it is no use scheduling a PM procedure that has no steps.

  3. Some of the users only have a homepage to access ARCHIBUS and thus have no real processes in the navigation (other than home/search/favorites) and no real need for a space-consuming navigation bar on the left side of the screen.

It should therefore be possible to open the Web Central with the navigator bar minimized by default ? Ideally this could be set a application parameter.

  4. The PM Planner tracks missed work based on the PM schedules, even when WO/WR are generated:

Missed (Work Order Not Generated) -- woid IS NULL and datelatest < today
Missed (Work Order Not Completed) -- woid IS NOT NULL and datecompleted IS NULL and date_latest < today

Whereas the Maintenance Console tracks overdue (and escalated) work based on the escalation date of the WR (wr.dateescalationcompletion).

This means that we have two different views of the work, i.e. one in the PM Planner where the job is overdue and too late and one in the…

  5. It should possible to « manage » the buttons individually. For instance some roles could see and update all requests, just the way supervisors can do, but cannot complete requests. Or it should be possible to allow some specific roles to be supervisor but not use the « complete » button.

In previous versions, this could be done using classic buttons in AXVW files that could be enabled or hidden using security groups or roles.

But in the maintenance console, this seems to be done on a global way, merely depending on few parameters (essentially the craftsperson's attributes, e.g. "is…

  6. The current Space Console views are limited to using VPA by Location and not by Organization. We have to create custom views to apply access restriction by Business Unit/Division/Department to provide almost all of the Space Management functionalities.

Please enable VPA by Organization for all Space Console views so we can use OOTB views.

  7. Requires an alternative way to define open office space with workstations that are now used for Hoteling. The current method of polylining the workstations as ROOMS feels like a workaround solution. The end-result comes with flaws:
    1) we end up subdividing the floor plan into numerous "rooms" that are in fact workstations. The polylining exercise is super tedious because we need to ensure that they all add to the accurate total floor area as well. Worse when these workstations are set up in irregular shape (honeycomb, circular etc..) Very difficult to represent them in space.
    2) we have to create…

  8. Regardless of the sort applied, the maintenance console always pushes out/exports data and displays it sorted descending by WR_ID even if a custom sort has been applied (say Location ascending). Clients want the export to come out as they see it within the application. We are asking to make sure any custom filters and sort column selections that have been applied are passed into the Exported file as well.

  9. The workplace has gotten a lot of good attention. Sometimes clients are asking for methods to request a project request over the workplace.

This can be done via the method of the service request where a type of service request is a project. It may not necessarily fill out all the details of a project but this allows people to request for:
    -office reconfigurations (construction projects)
    -Condition assessments requests
    -Hazardous Assessment requests
    -sustainability assessments

  10. On the screen where users can see their workplace bookings or their meeting room reservations there are 3 cancel buttons: to cancel an individual booking, to cancel the whole series, and on the top right corner of the screen there is another cancel button to leave the screen. Better rename the latter button to "Home" for example.

  11. Within Mobile, when SSO has been enabled to ensure the security requirements of an organization are met, it means that there is no Signout Button/capability for mobile users. This means that we can not be cost effective in sharing mobile devices (and software licenses) because there is no Signout button or Automatic Timeout button that releases the users session login

The work effort to work around not having a Signout Button, is to
    a) uninstall/reinstall the app every time a device needs to be shared, OR
    b) clear data/clear cache.

This is time costly and counter productive to trying to…

  12. When a specific problem is identified within the Maintenance Console, the ability to group 1 or more Work Request to a Project Request or to a Protect Template to kick of a project (i.e. replacing an AHU/s, ext.) These are happening more where a maintenance job will be combine and will take longer to complete

  13. Our users have the requirement to easily book workplaces for a group of employees, because a primary goal to go to the office is that you want to connect with other employees. A simple solution would be to put an "Add One" button onto the confirmation screen ("Workplace is successfully booked!") which returns back to the floor plan using the previous search, with updated search results (one seat is now taken). Then they could book the next space for another employee or visitor.

  14. Recommended validations for Craftsperson Dates, Times, and Hours Worked
    · Date Started and Date Finished may not be earlier than the Work Request date created (or the date when scheduled)?
    · The actual hours cannot be higher than the difference between the actual Time Started and Time Finished. 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM is 1 hour, but you can save 2 Actual hours as an example.
    · Cannot add time for a craftsperson if he/she recorded time in the same period on another work request.
    · Recommend performing these validations on save (Both WebCentral and Mobile).

    The benefit of this…

  15. When using Outlook plugin with SAML integration users get really confused when they see the Archibus Web Central interface.

For this it would be ideal if they did not see this and it would auto-close that window.

  16. Let's say during your internet browsing window, you are in the Space console, where you have already opened up a floor plan, and certain highlights and mid way modifying some data when you realize you need to switch to another view. It would be great if the framework doesn't lose that view when switching so if you can go to another area, say the define locations, then switch back to the say the first view without having to reapply all the setting options.

  18. Many other online tools have an html wysiwyg preview that enables the ability of generating a formatted email with a background, headers, images, and links. It would be great if Archibus can display what are the available dynamic links and dynamic values.

For example it would be great to be able to format emails for the purposes of:
    - hoteling
    - reservations
    - work requests
    - return agile notifications / contact tracing
    - emergency/incident management

  19. When using the hoteling features, it would be great to have an ICS file generated for the calendars so that employees at a company can tell where they need to be by going into the one place they all tend to use which is the exchange calendars. They can be set as the availability of 'Free'/'Working Elsewhere' so it doesn't prevent others from trying to book colleagues to a meeting as well.

This would be great if it is a configuration option in hoteling.

  20. Right now archibus allows us to register a new visitor and invite them to a meeting or to a booking. We are hoping for some extended functionality.

    1. visitor pass generation - ie a printable HTML formatted email that shows someone is able to be at the office.
    2. Visitor notification of arrival - a way visitors can check in at a lobby and allow those who are having a meeting with them to be notified of their arrival. Or in a booking scenario if someone booked them in then that person gets the notification.
    3. Reports - again, the challenge is archibus…
