Lease Workflow and Versioning
We have received direct requirements from both public and private organizations in the US that demand configurable workflow in Lease Administration. This is significant as lease workflow has become a common feature in other solutions.
i. Allow administrators to design workflow. The Graphical Workflow Editor is a great start to meeting this requirement.
ii. Need to allow someone to create a draft lease or start a revision of an existing lease
iii. Submit lease through review and approval workflow
iv. Upon approvals, a new lease revision is added to the system and becomes the primary lease record

Allow performance metrics to use custom datasources
As a Business Analyst, I want to be able to define performance metrics using custom datasource/views, because it is far easier to join multiple tables that way then using sub-queries.

Actionable Dashboards
Home Pages and Dashboard UI has improved in 24.2 and 25.1, such that they are more consistent and show applicable metrics. However:
- Clicking on metrics do not bring the user to views where they can take immediate action, and
- There are still many lower-level forms and reports that could be replaced by metrics in dashboards so to clean up the long list of views and present a more compact UI to the user.7 votes -
User-selected Site/Building applies across application
- In the application header, the user uses a drop-down menu to select a site or building.
- From that point onward, every view the user visits is restricted by that site or building
- User can switch the site or building selection at any time.
The implementation would be similar to VPA, but it would be controlled by the user. It would be added on top of any existing VPA that the administrator has already set for the user.
This is designed for:
-Users who need to have access to multiple buildings, but may spend a period of time working with only…13 votes -

Distinguish between reserved parts that are on the shelf vs. on the job
Part management
There is a need to identify the difference between reserved (on shelf) and reserved on a job (Not on shelf). There is a big problem tracking stock that is assigned to a job and the part changes from available to reserved. This is not being update when the cf collects it from the shelf, until the job is complete, but this could be a while. It is therefore difficult for stores manager when doing inventory to be sure what the physical count should be. There should be a status change and a pt store update at the point…

Archibus Connectors to include REST APIs
Archibus Connectors to include REST API's to import data from 3rd party data-source. If Archibus is going to be sold as the single point data source it needs to be able to receive data from multiple sources which the connectors do allow but not via REST API which is a wide used data feed source from many external systems

Engage for Archibus API
Archibus has created Workplace as the employee-experience front-end, for requesting services finding rooms, finding colleagues, and making reservations.
Serraview has done something similar with Engage.
Ultimately there should be one employee-experience front-end that services customers on both platforms. The bet is on Engage. When Engage becomes more feature-equivalent to Workplace, then it should be able to step in and provide the same functionality that Workplace does to Archibus users. Then we have one front-end to maintain.
Approaches to this connection depend on platform direction, customer adoption, and use cases. They include:
- Direct Engage API to Archibus
- Routing of…5 votes -
Predictive Maintenance
Make some connections to BAS / data aggregation systems to promote "predictive maintenance", which could allow Archibus to respond to a range of use cases, the spectrum of which are:
- Easy: BAS generates an alert that causes a work order to be raised in Archibus
- Leverage API to generate work order in Archibus
- Data can come from BAS (thru the likes of Tridium, OSISoft), or can be culled from measurements obtained by PM surveys.
- Complex: AI/data science used to predict likelihood of upcoming failures

Archibus-Serraview integration: real-time syncing through REST APIs
As a buyer of workplace and asset management software, I want the system to have a standard, reliable way to deliver and utilize space and occupancy data, so that I have confidence that this critical data is maintained properly and always accurate.

Serraview integration: common floor plans
As a buyer of workplace and asset management software, I want the system to have one way to publish floor plans from CAD or BIM, and to deliver those floor plans to the web or mobile platform for use, so that I have one set of source files and a consistent process of converting/delivering drawings.

Improve User Experience in Service Desk (Enterprise)
Currently, the market perceives Archibus UI as old and not ergonomic.
The efforts made with Workplace and the Service Console are a good step forward. But this applies only to cloud users or users happy with a very basic request process.
Enterprise users need something richer (and this is been a strength of Archibus fr a long time). As a consequence, we would love to see this :
* Enhance features of workplace interface so that the different actions which can be performed by an end user are covered (Canceling a request, filling in a Questionnaire, a Satisfaction survey, ...)…10 votes -
Make use of an unlimited org hierarchy
The organization hierarchy should be unlimited, and highlight reports should be able to show rooms on all organizational levels.
Implementation options include:
- Make use of the org table.
- Add an Fkey in rm and em to org and get hierarchy that way.120 votes -
Support shared allocations and occupancy on Space Console
ARCHIBUS Space users have increasingly relied on the Space Console as their primary interface for space-management tasks and reports. However, the Space Console doesn't support more flexible and complex activity-based working environments as well as older views that were designed for that purpose. The idea that a user must "downgrade" the user experience to handle more complex workflows is confusing and frustrating.
The proposal is to enhance the Space Console to support these specific and oft-required cases:
- Sharing rooms among multiple departments
- Assigning employees to primary and satellite workspaces
- Viewing both permanent and temporary (hoteled) occupancy together…78 votes
