  1. The user experience for adding time to multiple WR at once in the Maint. Console is confusing at best. You select multiple WR and click the 'Update' button. Then select 'Add Craftspersons' (not add time) and it opens a second window. The second window is fine, but it returns you to the Update window. Now what? They have to click the 'X' to close or click 'Cancel' - neither seem right. Customers instead are clicking the 'Update' button to close (since they did make a change by adding time). Currently, if you need to configure an email sender for external domain (let's say, the Client's domain), the way of doing it is to configure mail.properties with a line like this: mail.host.password=TO_ENCRYPT(plaintextvalue). And then to run task "Encrypt Passwords in Configuration Files". This is not acceptable for many Clients, as they have to comply with many security policies, and it is not secure for them to send the plain text password to Archibus, so Archibus configures mail.properties and then encrypts the password.

  3. Workplace to accept parameters.

    The following is a use case:

    A client has an internet page you can find a location, employee etc. Example find John Doe, then from the internet page you select John's location and it launches workplace and displays the Johns location on a floor plan.

  4. This would be really helpful to use the Planners since now it is almost impossible to identify the different elements in the view (without cliking on the elements)

    When using PM Planner it is really difficult for the user to identify the equipments and equipment standards so it would be really helpful to identify the different elements in the PM Planner

  5. PM Scheduling. The ability to have and active and in active flag on a PM Schedule to suspend the generation of the PM. this is currently only able to be done by changing frequency interval to mismatch with the current frequency or modify the frequency to no fall into any possible generation period.

  6. We are looking into a way to calculate the occupancy for assigned seating. We have situation where we have to assign wks to an employee permanently but it doesn't mean that this employee will show up every day in the office. But, it will affect our target capacity. We are looking into a way to ensure that specific wks are not available to everyone for booking as they are assigned to someone but also want to track to real occupancy for these wks.

  7. ESG (environmental, social and governance) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

    ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors have become increasingly important in business decision making, investment and finance. ESG, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have proven not only ethical, but profitable and hence have become interesting to a wide swath of the business community.

    Can Archibus have some KPIs or white papers for defining or creating the parameters for ESG (environmental, social and governance) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) report factors/indicators ?

  8. Locate Employee should show an employee's location regardless if the location is primary or secondary. Currently the employee must have a primary location to display any locations.

  9. The restrictLoadingOfUnassignedViews setting in security.properties stops users without assigned access from using a direct link to access views, such as "Add or Edit Users". This has become an increasingly vital setting to enable to meet security requirements.

    However, the performance cost at startup for it to generate an index is a big problem. We have seen up to 3-4 hour windows after a Tomcat restart where the application is not accessible.

    I would like to see additional settings to control if and how the index is generated to improve performance. I understand that to accommodate customizations, this runs at startup.…

  10. The current view to add amenities to a Hoteling room is awkward ("Define Fixed Resources"). The biggest problem is that one needs to know all the room numbers of Hotelable Rooms rather than being able to pick them from a floor plan. Also, each Room's amenities must be added individually rather than allowing multiple selections. And the "Room Arrangements" tab is confusing since it is not relevant to Hoteling.

    A new graphical view (or adaptation in the Space Console) should highlight Hotelable Rooms, allow multi-selection of rooms and add one or more amenities in a batch. This would speed up…

  11. We need a "my daily schedule" view on the mobile device for the crafts persons that adds up their hours for the day ... so they can confirm that they put in their 8 Hours.

  12. In organizations that want to integrate with the accounting system. Currently the only way to use account codes is either setup a preventative maintenance procedure to default an account code or to setup an SLA to need to be assigned to a work order. Upon generating the work order, the user can designate the account code. Could it be done in a way where it's more automated, ie building A automatically is account code 11110?

  13. Upon creating a User Defined Field, the system generates the field to be at the bottom of the list under 'Other Details'. There is currently no way available for users/administrators to re-order the field from within the UI and requires an update to the view files directly.

    Having the ability to change the order UDF's display at least within the 'Other Details' section would be very helpful for end-users.

  14. Currently for the Geographic Information System (GIS)/ESRI views there is no functionality to display labels on the objects. The user must scroll over the object to see a tooltip with its associated information.

    Please add the functionality to display labels on the objects similar to the Space Console or other floorplan views.

  15. It appears as though even the newest versions of ARCHIBUS are shipping with an SFTP .jar/library for use with the connectors which is no longer supported by a number of SFTP hosts as it is out of date.

    The current edtftpj-pro.jar file appears to have been procured from the third part vendor enterprisedt.com and is version 5.2.4 which was released back in 2017. There have been 10 subsequent releases with the latest being v7.1.0.

    SFTP based export connectors are no longer usable without work arounds for a number of clients as a result.

  16. In the Maintenance Console I noticed that there is a spot to update “Other Costs”. Our operation uses this function on a regular basis for special order items that we do not normally stock or to enter in Vendor details (such if we pay Culligan and need to document the cost for their services) however I noticed that once the information is initially entered that the information cannot be edited.
    In the view below – for example- the company TMI Heat was not originally set as a “resource type” therefore someone just chose General.

  18. When you define a preventive maintenance (PM) procedure, you can add one or more step(s). This is not mandatory but a step will match a work request (WR) when PM work orders (WO) are generated. This means that if you generate PM WO for a procedure without at least one step, no WO will be generated at all!

    This should ideally be improved and a sort of check be implemented. For example upon scheduling the PM tasks by warning the user that it is no use scheduling a PM procedure that has no steps.

  19. When creating a reservations request and designating the number of attendees, a user can only use the +/- buttons to set the number of attendees. Would be ideal if a user could type in the number of attendees especially because most meetings are above 20 people.

  20. In versions before 25, home pages displayed the title of the selected page. Now the title is only shown when the ... are selected and the drop down list of available pages is shown. While Home references the navigation that you are "Home", it would be helpful for users with different pages to see the page name displayed.
