  1. Clients upgrade every 18-36 months. Issue patches that are backward compatible for items that are fixed in the next release(s). Backward compatibility for 2 full versions would be ideal. As continuous upgrades are not a solution for on-prem enterprise long term clients.

And example: Workplace IIS SSO is fixed in v25.2 but a fix is not available for v25.1.

  2. Department box functionality is confusing to users.

Suggestions: 1) only show box if manager, or remove restriction so all employees in department can see eachother, 2) change text from Search Employee --> Search Employees in Department
This is not versatile to other user types i.e. non manager.

  5. As a user lodging a service request, I start by scanning a room's QR code. By doing so, I'd love for the list of available request types to filter to just those that are applicable to that location.

Request types can be associated with key words. Allow rooms or room standards to also be associated with key words? That way starting with QR codes to enter a request, the system can match up key words and display the relevant request types.

  6. As a user searching for the right equipment to attach to my work request, I'd like to be able to search quickly and easily for the equipment I'm looking for.

Search lists, like equipment or department, are not limited by the WebC parameter "recordLimit", which limits the list to a reasonable size and institutes paging. It should.

Also, for cases like equipment, it would be great to search by equipment standard and equipment name as well.

  7. The compliance questionnaire question builder has a good look up option except there is no restriction in place so if the user should be selecting only a subset, say 10 particular answers, but they get to access a whole table, they can be accessing 30000 records when they don't need it.

It would be nice to either
    1. define an advance search for the look up, could be tough since all tables have their own fields
    2. apply a SQL restriction

Some examples where there would be too long of a look up:
    1. Trying to find a room but…

  8. It would be better to have a framework that supports easy global field renaming. Multi-line headers used to be the quicker way to modify the field names but even then it was not a global effect due to potentially hard coded titles within the axvws.

It should noted that even if you change the multi line headings that the workplace portal is hard-coded to use a separate language and file system to reference the field names. Also the newer html5 like views tend to ignore the multi line headings.

One example of needed configurable field name is rooms. Many see…

  9. When selecting a room over the floor plan on the workplace portal for the purposes of making a reservation, one has to click through the drawing to view the room photo and get the room amenities. A mouse over effect on the workplace portal would be more user friendly.

  10. Workplace user Service Request screen gives information but needs more, for example if a Request is rejected there is no information as to why is was rejected? which means the user will need to access web central to get more detail. It would be good if they could review the history of the job and maybe update and resubmit

Cancelled Jobs just come off the list so the user has no records, i know that emails can be used, however that is just another place to look for the information, it would be better if it is in one place.

  11. It would be great if we had a security group or some way to grant certain users access to see and monitor all work requests. Currently, even if you are a member of all teams, if there is a supervisor assigned to the request that is not you, you cannot see those requests.

  12. Both applications have some key features that the other does have. Implementers are faced with making the decision whether or not to use hoteling or use reservations to satisfy the client requirements.

For example if we're comparing highlights:
    Reservation:
    -Calendar console views
    -outlook plug in reservations
    -Time selection

    Hoteling:
    -Back to work Cleaning functionality
-better access to change this data within space management
-utilization and occupancy reports reflect on this data set

If they were merged, all that would be needed is a some sort reservation type field to track if a calendar event is created or if there's shifts…

  14. Actually Hoteling.

Use QR to verify arrival for hoteling!

    The process will be:

    1. Set the room capacity to, let's say, 12
    2. Have workers/students book the room till it's no longer available
    3. Place a QR label on the Office/ Classroom door
    4. Have the employee/student "check-in" when they come to work/class to verify occupancy...

We can use the same functionality to verify arrival at a hoteled desk.

    Thanks

  15. We constantly have to customize Archibus to show highlighted leases on floorplans. With space console being the primary place for viewing floor plans, it would be helpful if an out of the box highlight/label for leases is present in space console, with the ability to associate rooms to leases. Bringing in the concept of suites wouldn't be a bad idea either, though most customers we service track space to the room and don't use suites.

  16. When a work request has been rejected the requester should be able edit all the fields? if the request was rejected for incorrect information i.e. wrong location or missing location data, then the requester is unable to correct the error and add the missing information. Having only the description field editable is very limited.

  17. It would be good for a building operation helpdesk manager to be able to see and manage, followup on jobs rejected during the approval stage. At the moment only the requester can act on this status within the console.

  18. We recently responded to a GSA RFP that included Federal Real Property. Archibus has a Federal Real Property app that is on the GSA Schedule however it is several years out of date and is a set of standalone tables, not integrated with the core data structure. An FRP app has been developed by a Business Partner that is compliant with current GSA FRP data structure and I believe is integrated with the core AFM data structure.

What is AI's commitment to upgrading the FRP app and keeping it compliant with current GSA data structure and reporting requirements?

    If this…

  19. It is important that each feature implemented in a system like Archibus is obvious to the end user. If a system requires minimal to no training to allow an end user to perform a task, people will consider the system "user friendly" and will like to use it. This has been a challenge for the Archibus product in the past. A perfect example of this is the download link that is displayed once a file is generated in Smart Client or Web Central (see picture attached). Once the export process is complete, it is not obvious to the end user…

  20. With reservations, whether this is a meeting room booking or a desk booking the idea is companies now need to make staff check off for before and after use of a booking/reservation, ie. 'did you do this or that?' This questions seems to vary between clients it would be nice to somehow generate a questionnaire that the administers can setup and ask a question to the requester making a reservation or a desk. Some questions they may ask could be:
    - 'Did you disinfect the space?'
    - 'Do you acknowledge you obeyed this or that?'
    - 'Comment on new safety…
