  1. The current view to add amenities to a Hoteling room is awkward ("Define Fixed Resources"). The biggest problem is that one needs to know all the room numbers of Hotelable Rooms rather than being able to pick them from a floor plan. Also, each Room's amenities must be added individually rather than allowing multiple selections. And the "Room Arrangements" tab is confusing since it is not relevant to Hoteling.

    A new graphical view (or adaptation in the Space Console) should highlight Hotelable Rooms, allow multi-selection of rooms and add one or more amenities in a batch. This would speed up…

  2. Currently, Completed Moves do not show in the Move Console unless one clicks on "Configure Options" and selects "Show Completed and Closed Moves". Then the next time the Move Console is opened, this option has to be selected again.

    Hiding Completed Moves IS VERY MISLEADING, even dangerous since Completed moves need to be Closed to update location data of moved persons/teams/equipment/furniture), . So Completed Moves should show by default so they can be Closed.

    But Closed Moves should not be displayed by default. Over time, there will be thousands of Closed Moves and there is no reason to slow down…

  3. Currently, a Move Coordinator can be selected from any Employee. This should be limited to a small set of Employees. This could be done by a Security Group or a new flag on the EM table.

    Group Moves' Project Manager has the same problem, but this field should be replaced by Move Coordinator. (Project Manager should only be editable in Project Management.)

  4. For large organizations, there may be several Move Coordinators. Each needs to manage only assigned Moves. Currently that is not possible in the Move Console. There is no filter on the Move Coordinator for Individual Moves. Group Moves do not even have a Move Coordinator field, only a Project Manager (which also has no filter).

    Further, Project Manager is not necessarily the same as the Move Coordinator (especially if the Project is shared with Project Management or other applications). So there should be a Move Coordinator field in the Projects table for Group as well as Individual moves. Then in…

  5. When using Hoteling now, the default selection is the first (in order) floor of the building you are assigned to.

    It would make more sense to have the selection default to the floor you are assigned to (if no floor is assigned to the employee current behavior is correct)

  6. A UDF for properties will also be a good thing for referencing Leases.

    Properties contain information for registration #, registry # and bylaw # so capturing this data in a UDF Method allows organizations that are in the public sector to leverage the system.

  8. When the Clear Highlight command is run, both Labels and Highlights are cleared even if the labels are on a layer layer not named -TMP. In the past, employee names that were populated as part of the afm_occup and placed on the layer TX-EMP and NOT TMP layer remained intact after the clear highlights was run, now the names are disappearing.

    I was told the previous behavior was actually a bug, but this functionality, or at least an option to keep labels or highlights and not remove both is useful. For example - do not want to repeat the entire…

  9. Batch Delete Pending Training for Employees that are inactive. Currently when an employee leaves the organization the only way to delete pending training is to go through each training program and each employee one entry at a time. It would be much more efficient if this could be done in batch by filtering all pending training for an employee. Or some type of automatic removal when an employee is changed to Inactive. This cannot currently be done in Smart Client because of dependencies.

  10. Similar to Hoteling, create a 'Confirmation Time' parameter that will:

    • Set the period of time, before or after a reservation, where users must check-in
    • Tie Non-Check-In to booking cancelation and notification

  11. You should be able to hide the service request button (and recent service request) from the QR for spaces.
    In this case, the spaces are being used for Hoteling so the service request button should not be visible if you configure it that way through application parameters.

  12. Allow an administrator to block some spaces for some given dates so they cannot be used for Hoteling those dates. Some uses cases can be:

    • Block for a week because there is renovation going on
    • Some spaces can be used on some dates but not on others (f.e. odd and even dates)

  13. Add a new functionality where the “holders of a workstation” can free the usage for some time (or undefined).
    It they free the workstation for an indefinite time they should be able to recover it as well

  14. If a Craftsperson is using the Mobile Timer feature to record the time and accidentally forgets to turn the time off, there needs to be a validation in place which will automatically turn the time off after say 8 hrs.

    Alternatively there should be an easy way for the CF to adjust the time recorded with the timer in case this situation arises.

  15. The portal does not try to prevent users from creating duplicate service requests. However the report a problem process in WebCentral does. It would be great if the portal can have the same functionality since it does show all the current active tickets on a equipment or a space if the user had a QR code to scan.

    However let's assume the user is just going through the dashboard or the portal to create a request. Then this method does not show any indication of current request to the space/equipment.

  17. Give people the ability to resolve conflicts in workplace – if 1 out of 5 occurrences is a problem, let them book the other 4 and skip that one/book it separately.

  18. Let users know on floor plan/during selection process, that it is subject to approval. Also when they reserve the room the message should read that the request is pending approval and the status pending approval should be displayed in the Workplace Reservations tab.

  19. Better slider functionality – time displayed isn’t time you select. Also the ability to enter time with keystrokes or drop down menu instead of a slider. Mobile phone users find the slider difficult.

    In Release V2022.02, on meeting space bookings, with Accessibility Mode enabled or on a mobile device, the timeline slider interaction has been replaced with dropdown menus for selecting a meeting start and end time.

  20. Floorplan blobs and numbers fly off the room when scaling on a mobile device or Firefox browser. I would like this fixed without removing the blue blobs. Users who are not familiar with floorplans find them very helpful.
