escalation notification emails
Escalation Notifications - The current escalation process and notification process is a global yes /no. The problem is that this blanket approach sends too many emails to irrelevant people and for works that are no critical enough to Warrant this type of response.
Solution
Part 1 - possibly move the escalation flag to the SLA this would allow discrete processing to happen or have an opt out button on the SLA to negate the global parameter.
Part 2 - Add flag in SLA to opt into sending escalation notification emails that then looks at
1) add additional field to SLA…5 votes -
Hoteling - Prevent Booking for Other Employees
There is currently no way to restrict a user to only book for themself. The default functionality allows them to book for any employee and for visitors but the organization does not want people to book for others whether it be accidentally or maliciously. I can imagine that preventing users from booking spaces for others is a common use case and I am a little surprised that this is not possible.
I have tried using a VPA restriction but it only seems to affect WebCentral Hoteling and not Workspace Hoteling. I don't know if this is a bug or as…

Changes to the DataGridSelectionBox
Our customer uses the GRID 3.0, which is used e.g. in ab-request-console.axvw. The customer can edit/select data in the GRID.
There are the following basic requirements, which should be changed from the customer's point of view in the core of the application (of the GRID 3.0):
(1) The column width of the fields in the DataGridSelectionBox should be changeable by the user.
(2) Key fields that are only required for the software functionality but do not contain any essential information for the user should not necessarily have to be displayed on the screen. Currently ID fields must be included in…

historical moves
Archibus should have a way to move Move data to a historical table and have reports that will be able to pull data from both the the active move table and the archive move table.
If a company creates a lot of moves, it can overload the active move table by keeping the completed moves in it.7 votes -
Change the calendar settings according to user's language setting
Regardless of the user's language setting, the calendar of the reservation screen uses the American format - week starts from Sunday.
Also the days are not indicated in the calendar (there is no top row with S - M - T- W - T- F- S)
The calendar format should change according to user's language preference (if other than US English, the week should start from Monday). At minimum, the calendar should have the days on the top.

Limit the visibility of floors and rooms in the Search
Search function of Workplace allows to find and visualise on plan ANY room/building/floor that has been defined in WebCentral, and there is no way to control the visibility.
Our organisation has highly sensitive functions, so for reasons of security, we do not want Workplace users to have access to plans of certain floors.
In addition, we have defined all areas of buildings as "rooms", so the room search also returns toilets, elevators and technical areas. We had to commission custom development to prevent the users from seeing anything but the locations of colleagues who booked workspaces. Please develop a functionality…

Change date format in line with the language preference
Currently the date format in the Reservations list is always the American format MM/DD/YYY, regardless of the user's language setting. It is very confusing for European users who are used to DD/MM/YYYY format.
We have English (Ireland) and French (Belgium) as language options.
The date format should change everywhere in the user interface according to the user's language setting.
7 votesCurrently, a user's locale defines the country, language, date format, and currency that you use with Archibus.

Retain person in team, when erased from floorplan
Currently, when using erase person from floorplan feature, and erasing people from floorplan, it also removes the person from the team. As a space planner I want to be able to quickly remove people from the floor plan, but I don't want them removed from the team. The way the erase feature currently works makes it difficult to quickly make these changes, and adds mulitple "clicks" as I have to remember who those people where, and remember to add them back into the team manually in scenario planner, as I also am unable to import people to teams in scenario…

Restricting who can book Hoteling (or Rooms) for someone else
When booking a workstation you are able to book in someone else's name, but it would be nice for this to be controlled somehow (for example with a security group)
Additionally it would be nice to make groups of people you can book for such as a secretary booking for people in their department/division

Add a Key for Colors when you are on the Booking Screen
When you are selecting a seat in workspace you see blue and grey. I know that blue is open and grey is not but a few testers suggested that there be a key so the user can see that.

Simplify adding time to multiple WR at once
The user experience for adding time to multiple WR at once in the Maint. Console is confusing at best. You select multiple WR and click the 'Update' button. Then select 'Add Craftspersons' (not add time) and it opens a second window. The second window is fine, but it returns you to the Update window. Now what? They have to click the 'X' to close or click 'Cancel' - neither seem right. Customers instead are clicking the 'Update' button to close (since they did make a change by adding time). That is then updating all selected WR's description to blank and…

additional comments
When entering time in a work log craftspeople are prompted with a mandatory field called additional comments. The issue with this field is that the content does not populate on a report. IE if you run a report on archived requests you only see Craftspersons notes.
An ideal resolve would be to have the additional comments appear in the craftsperosn's notes field. This would make it easier for management to review work orders and for running reports as the additional comments field doesn't populate in the same data table as the other critical work order information.

More secure way of configuring email sender for external domains
Currently, if you need to configure an email sender for external domain (let's say, the Client's domain), the way of doing it is to configure mail.properties with a line like this: mail.host.password=TO_ENCRYPT(plaintextvalue). And then to run task "Encrypt Passwords in Configuration Files". This is not acceptable for many Clients, as they have to comply with many security policies, and it is not secure for them to send the plain text password to Archibus, so Archibus configures mail.properties and then encrypts the password.
There should be a more secure way, for example a form, accessible by the Client's IT team, in…7 votes -

Configurable UDFs for Condition Assessment and configurable child UDFS
Where condition assessments are usually done through external means such as a survey (excel, or other systems) there is usually extra data where it doesn't fit into Archibus' condition assessment table. It would be good for the condition assessment to have UDFs too as well as some child table to store additional UDFS. Condition assessment data often comes with additional information such as price inflations considerations, price breakdown and investment strategies for assessments.
If there can be a child tables where you can categorize the UDF groups, such as a grouping for costs breakdown, a grouping for scheduling scenarios of…

Indicate capacity target in the bubble next to the floor rather than total number of hotelable rooms in Workplace workstation booking
In Workplace, the number of seats indicated in the bubble next to the floor is the total number of available and hotelable rooms (no target apply)... it would be nice to rather see the number of rm available according to the target set for that building.

Hoteling - Photo of the desk when booking
It would be good for the workplace portal to display a photo of the desk being booked.
Though most client won't have the luxury of time to upload a photo of each desk, it would nice to have a bulk photo reference where one can upload a photo of a desk and it could mean it's the photo of all desks in the building, or desks that match a type or a floor.10 votes -
Site Point of Contact
The Define location has a site point of contact field that is validated against the contact table (Define Contacts). there is no way of seeing additional contact details for that point of contact. there needs to be a pop up contact card that can be accessed. there is no "view contact" available for general users who do not have admin privileges in this area.
This concept is relevant to a few areas where contacts are used.
There is also a need for secondary/alternate contacts
