Create a parameter, for OnSite app. to track the position of the Craftsperson.
Create a parameter, for OnSite app. to track the position of the Craftsperson.
This will help the Dispatcher to dispatch the most closer to Incident Craftsperson available.
Integration with GIS (Esri, Google...) will make this easy to present.
If parameter is 1 Archibus receive coordinates from OnSite if 0 no coordinates are sent.
Onsite may show on GIS the position as well.8 votes -
Allow Workplace Site Only Request as in WebCentral
WebCentral allows for the following minimum location options to report a problem:
- Building Code
- Site Code and Latitude, Longitude
- Site Code and Problem Location
- Equipment CodeAll these rules are not available in Workplace when a request is logged. This is an issue because some requests are outside the buildings. Including the Map function to select the Latitude and Longitude combined with the Site Code for outside requests will work the best.

Hoteling Booking Reports - Show the Employee Name - not just Employee Code
In Hoteling reports such as Workplace Utilization or Bookings by Employee, have the ability to use automatic look ups to show other fields from the EM table as columns in the report and in select values.
Currently in V2023.03 only the Employee Code is shown and auto looks ups cannot be used. Many client do not have recognizable employee codes and need to see the actual employee name field in these reports. The ability to specify other fields like Employee Title to be shown via automatic look ups would be beneficial.

Subject field size increase due to errors when syncing with exchange
The default subject (reserve.reservation_name) size of the meeting in ARCHIBUS is 64 and MS Outlook can go up to 255 characters. Syncing from Exchange to ARCHIBUS return a 'truncated' error when a subject is more than 64 characters. Best will be to allign the out-of-box ARCHIBUS field size with MS Outlook to prevent this syncing error. Aslo, the hreserve table.

Allow URLs to Open an Archibus View and "Pass it Parameters"
This applies to more than Space. It is a universal idea to provide a means to pass variable values to a view in Archibus through a URL. Let me start by giving the most basic example of it's potential usefulness. If you had a spreadsheet you sent to a fellow employee with rooms listed in it each of which was in fact a hyperlink. The person (also an Archibus SSO user) receiving the spreadsheet could click on any room number in the sheet and it would pop up an Archibus locate rooms view that would show them the building floor…

Improve Search Results for Finding an Employee
When searching for an employee, Archibus only shows exact matches. Therefore, if someone is searching for an employee who is programmed in Archibus with a middle name, they will not appear in the results and it is unlikely the person searching would know their middle name. Improving the search results to show close matches vs. exact would be helpful.

Improve Search Function for Finding Employees
When searching for an employee, Archibus only looks for exact name matches. Therefore, if someone is looking for an employee that has a middle name programmed in Archibus they won't show up in the results since it is unlikely the person searching would know their middle name. Improving the search function to show names that are close would be helpful vs. an exact match.

Workspace Transactions Print Functionality
A user MUST have the ability to print floor plans from the Workspace Transactions Console just as they can in the Space Console. When an employee has 2 locations (ie. An office and a Lab), it is necessary to be able to see the labels and other data that is provided on the WT Console since only the primary location from the em table is shown in Space Console. Having the ability to go back to a different Date when the Employee, Department or Room Type assignment was different and print that state is key to utilizing transactions.

BIM VIEWER - Building Button
The "Building Button" in the BIM VIEWER is not consistent. It roots the users to the entire RVT file.
It runs well only when using the ARCHIBUS ACC BUCKET but does not works when using the CUSTOMER private ACC.
The button should :
1) Show only a specific published SET.
2) The PUBLISHING SET should be parametered at least in afm_actvity, as best by USER ROLE in order to manage who can view what.
3) The latest published version.Axel.

Prevent Workplace Portal users from attaching files that are too large or unaccepted file formats
Can we prevent Workplace users from attaching files that are too large or unacceptable file formats? Or at least add some sort of warning.
Currently, if a user attaches a file that is too large or an unaccepted type, Workplace Portal still processes it. So, to the user, it looks like the request went through. However, it will be shown without a Maintenance work request code and the status will be "Created". The user is unable to do anything with the request and system administrators are unable to see it.

Workplace > People & Places > Search by combination of attributes
It would be interesting to be able to make a combination of attributes in the search in People & Places, in Workplace, for employees to be able to easily locate rooms on a floor plan (especially non-hotelable rooms like kitchen, washroom, etc.). For example, if I would like to see rooms with room type WASHROOM in the HQ building, it would be great if I could use something like WASHROOM+HQ and get the list of washroom in HQ, and then, by clicking on one of them, I see exactly where the room is on the floor. Right now, if I…

Display available hotelable rooms that users do not have access to book directly
When users are restricted from booking certain rooms (by dv, dp, team, bl, fl, or a VPA restriction) it can be very useful for them to be able to see rooms that are available that they themselves do not have access to book directly.
For example if a team in the Legal division comes on site and there are no Legal desks available, instead of going home they can see that IT has a bank of available desks. They could then approach an IT admin to book one of those desks on their behalf. For organizations where space is at…

Navigation improvement by removing the Request a Service Screen
The navigation from Workplace to Select a Building to Request a Service screen (see attached) and then to the Service Catalog provides an extra click because People & Places is not being used by our organization. We would like to have the ability to navigate from Select a Building directly to the "Service Catalog removing the Request a Service screen. Our go-live is in early 2024.

Workplace - Improvement of the request procdure for equipment using QR
There are some difficulties in creating service requests for equipment in Workplace, which should be improved.
Currently, the Workplace request form requires users to select the equipment from a list. If a building or floor is selected, the equipments are filtered, but it is difficult for them to select from the list.
Also, it is not easy to use the QR codes printed in the Define Equipment task to request with equipment. It requires a guest user to be enabled and users cannot select the request type. This makes it impractical for users to use this feature.3 votes -
