Use QR to verify arrival for hoteling
Actually Hoteling.
Use QR to verify arrival for hoteling!
The process will be:
1. Set the room capacity to, let's say, 12
2. Have workers/students book the room till it's no longer available
3. Place a QR label on the Office/ Classroom door
4. Have the employee/student "check-in" when they come to work/class to verify occupancy...
We can use the same functionality to verify arrival at a hoteled desk.
Thanks

We would love to see this so we can get more accurate usage data for both hoteling and reservations.

Possible alternate is NFC tap.
Whether NFS or QR code, this shouldn't just be a check-in feature, but also include booking the hotel if it is available.

I believe that this feature is only available in Reservations and not Hoteling. We have an existing pursuit expecting this feature in Hoteling. Please consider extending the QR code functionality to Hoteling for checking in at a desk.
1. If the user has a valid reservation for the desk, the QR code scan should be interpreted as a "check in"
2. If the user does not have a valid booking for the desk, but the desk is still available, the QR code scan should auto create the booking and complete the check in. -

We have to rank methods to track real-time utilization of space. This would be a very good option compared to others that require integration with motion sensors, network connectivity, or employee ID access card data. The existing "Check In" functionality is flawed in a way that users can check in remotely while not showing up in the space. This compensates the self-check-in process.

We have seen this in RFPs as of late as well but for both hoteling and reservations.

Curious who has asked for this?
