Manage Home Pages and Roles: Support Quarter Height Panels
The Manage Home Pages and Roles GUI only allows half, three quarters and full height panels. However, descriptor files also support quarter height. These are necessary for the v. 25 Building Metrics panels. Half height panels leave empty space.

Date Required
Before the Report a problem screen, the creative work request screens included the date/time required fields as part of the form. This is vital so people report problems or requesting work to carry out can indicate the specific date and time the work is required. As this was an option in the past and the fields are still in the database, this is some way ready to go.

When transferring data out of Web Central, explicitly display a "Download File" button when the file generation is complete.
It is important that each feature implemented in a system like Archibus is obvious to the end user. If a system requires minimal to no training to allow an end user to perform a task, people will consider the system "user friendly" and will like to use it. This has been a challenge for the Archibus product in the past. A perfect example of this is the download link that is displayed once a file is generated in Smart Client or Web Central (see picture attached). Once the export process is complete, it is not obvious to the end user…

Space Console Smart Search - show matched floors in Floors panel
Currently, Space Console Smart Search shows a list of matched floors in the dropdown list, where users can select one at a time to load the floor plan. (see ShowFloorsInDropDown.png)
Is there a need to show all matched floors in the Floors panel so that users can review the floors' metrics and pick one or more floors as needed? (see ShowMatchedFloorsInFloorsPanel.png)

Knowledge Base Functionality
We frequently come across a requirement for a "Knowledge Base" that must be part of a proposed solution. ARCHIBUS has the Help files that can be appended and added to but there is no out of the box way for the customer to develop their own knowledge base as they grow with the system. A recent requirement is provided below. MH = Must Have, SH = Should have.
KM01 The Vendor shall describe how the solution establishes, supports and maintains a knowledge base. MH
KM02 The Vendor shall describe how knowledge management is integrated with incident/service management. MH
KM03 The…3 votes -
Make use of an unlimited org hierarchy
The organization hierarchy should be unlimited, and highlight reports should be able to show rooms on all organizational levels.
Implementation options include:
- Make use of the org table.
- Add an Fkey in rm and em to org and get hierarchy that way.120 votes -
Create Request Duration Notification
We use the Building Operations Console throughout our facility on majority of repairs and requests. Is there a way that after a year from the original request, the requestor would receive a notification to either resubmit this request or cancel this request. This would allow for some of these older requests to be put back on the top of the WRs list and potentially not get lost in the system, and also allow the requestor to determine that maybe this request was not truly needed, especially after a year has passed.

Notification Templates
Notification Templates in the Compliance Module have a set recipients for the template, this is a little awkward and it would be better if there was an option to set the template to send to the 'Person Responsible' or 'Vendor' or 'contact' or all 3 with a free text option also. The person/s that an email need to be sent to can often differs at different levels even within the same requirement. When a template is assigned to an event there is no option to adjust the template so a new template needs to be created. This means a new…

Consider changing REST endpoints with body parameters to POST
Hello,
while exploring the REST API endpoints in Webcentral we discovered a shortcoming:
There are two endpoints:
* /v1/service-desk/requests/getAllBy
* /v1/data/getAllBy
that use GET as request method but still rely on request body parameters to retrieve information from the client request. While the standard does not/does no longer strictly forbid GET requests with body parameters (see this discussion: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/978061/http-get-with-request-body) it is still considered bad practice and can cause caching problems. Even more problematic is that lots of clients don't support it which means they are not able to communicate with Webcentral.
In order to remain backwards compatible I would…

Federal Real Property
We recently responded to a GSA RFP that included Federal Real Property. Archibus has a Federal Real Property app that is on the GSA Schedule however it is several years out of date and is a set of standalone tables, not integrated with the core data structure. An FRP app has been developed by a Business Partner that is compliant with current GSA FRP data structure and I believe is integrated with the core AFM data structure.
What is AI's commitment to upgrading the FRP app and keeping it compliant with current GSA data structure and reporting requirements?
If this…

Workplace: Respect occupancy limits
Avoid desk booking (hoteling) and room booking (reserves) when the limit number of employees that can be on-site at any given time reach the maximum planned capacity.

Workplace: Hoteling kiosk improvements
Hoteling application should have a completed kiosk feature. In the terminal, the users should view office placements for themselves and others, and check out of the workspace. In this way, employee checks out early, the hoteling application could alert facility and service staff that the space can be made available for someone else
Additionaly, the hoteling software should allow employees to go online to find available workspace based on proximity to certain areas.
Optionally, when there are more requests than available desks, hoteling application also should manage wait lists and handle walk-in requests, making it painless for companies to juggle…4 votes -
User activity - PM Schedules etc.
There are a number of places where it would be nice to know who has set up what and this is one area lacking in Archibus.
A big area for us, which can cause issues and can need correcting, are PM scheduling. as we have no idea who has set up a schedule we have no accountability when things are done incorrectly.
Surely it can't be that difficult to log the user who created the schedule against the PMS record.
This principle can easily apply to several areas across Archibus. Where things are done, created, amended but we have no…

Archibus Connectors to include REST APIs
Archibus Connectors to include REST API's to import data from 3rd party data-source. If Archibus is going to be sold as the single point data source it needs to be able to receive data from multiple sources which the connectors do allow but not via REST API which is a wide used data feed source from many external systems

Enforcing minimum number of attendees for reservations
Reservations -> Background Data -> Define Room Arrangements
- Choose a room arrangement
- Set the "Maximum Capacity" and "Minimum Required" values to something high for testing such as 99 for Maximum Capacity and 30 for Minimum Required.
- Now go to Workplace to Book a Meeting Space.
- Go to the floor plan of the room arrangement that was modified.
- Depending on the other rooms on the floor, the room may not be highlighted blue. The Seats filter will likely have increased to a maximum of 99 seats. The slider would need to be moved to 30 for the room to be highlighted.…

Order of Craftperson entries on a Work Request, based on date/time not name/id
In our business we can very often have multiple Craftperson or multiple visits by the same Craftperson on a single work request. In the Craftperson section of the work request these are listed alphabetically by the Craftperson id.
It would make much more sense and make the 'narrative, of the work carried out much easier if the entries could be sorted by the date/time when the work was carried out.4 votes -
Allow license to be split unevenly during clustering task
The task that splits a license file for use on a cluster always splits it evenly between servers in the cluster. So this is not an ideal tool if you need to split your licenses unevenly, for instance if external contractors use a different authentication method to sign into Web Central than internal staff do (https://www.archibus.net/ai/abizfiles/v24.1_help/archibus_help/system/sysman.htm#security_usage/mixed.htm)
If you have 20 contractors, and 200 internal staff members, you probably don't want a 50/50 split of licenses between these two servers, but this is the only built-in license split that is available.
