  1. Allow Space Managers and Asset Managers, to setup their own solid or border highlights for both equipment and rooms from within Web Central without having to code - Ex. Highlight equipment by equipment standard with Fire-Rated equipment highlighted in red.

Also, possibly combining multiple fields into a label.

  2. Currently the only linkage between lease management to work orders or service tickets is the idea of a location. Work requests can be associated through an account code but that's about it.

An ability to see service request/work requests tied to a lease would be excellent. This will need to work both ways, where service and maintenance can link to a lease ticket.

    1. It would be nice if the license was simply checking to see if lease and (maintenance or service device) are acquired modules and then display a tab in lease management to views service tickets.
    2. When pulling up…

  3. There is currently no way to restrict a user to only book for themself. The default functionality allows them to book for any employee and for visitors but the organization does not want people to book for others whether it be accidentally or maliciously. I can imagine that preventing users from booking spaces for others is a common use case and I am a little surprised that this is not possible.

I have tried using a VPA restriction but it only seems to affect WebCentral Hoteling and not Workspace Hoteling. I don't know if this is a bug or as…

  4. When you look at the numbers in Hotel Savings by Building and Hotel Savings by Departments reports, you will notice that it only includes employees and rooms assigned to department.
Also, some em.emid do not match the rmptc.emid but they are counted.

    From the help file:
    • total bar = SELECT count(distinct rmpct.emid) FROM rmpct, em WHERE {rmpct values meet filter restriction} AND rmpct.emid = em.emid AND WHERE rmpct.visitorid IS NULL GROUP BY rmpct.dp_id

    • available bar = SELECT sum(rm.capem - rm.countem) FROM rm WHERE {rm values meet filter restriction other than…

  5. Currently the ability to edit data in the Space Console is all or nothing. But many organizations want certain Roles to edit only some data (e.g., Employee's Room, Room's Category and Type). But now a user with edit rights can do things like delete a Building (with all the cascading damage that does). We need a way to limit editing to certain fields for certain Roles without using Field Level Security or editing the JavaScript.

  6. Archibus should have a way to move Move data to a historical table and have reports that will be able to pull data from both the the active move table and the archive move table.
If a company creates a lot of moves, it can overload the active move table by keeping the completed moves in it.

  7. Currently the date format in the Reservations list is always the American format MM/DD/YYY, regardless of the user's language setting. It is very confusing for European users who are used to DD/MM/YYYY format.

We have English (Ireland) and French (Belgium) as language options.

The date format should change everywhere in the user interface according to the user's language setting.

  8. There are views in the product which aren't setup to adopt any security groups for accessing things such as the buttons to save.

For example the: Project Management Console, Lease Management Console

Client seem to like these views but in large organizations, some of that data was setup so there are VPAs for certain data to be visible to the client. However they not only want it to be visible but some may be read-only based on a condition. For example, if a status of a record say the lease record or the project is at 'issued' then a certain…

  9. In 2022.02, in order for users to quickly make use of features such as scanning a QR code or booking through a Kiosk, the guest account has to be enabled. The problem with the guest account is the password cannot be changed easily if a client doesn't have access the environment as it's hardcoded in a few areas of the product (/schema/ab-products/essential/dev/workplace/src/utils/authentication.js and /schema/ab-core/views/sign-in/ab-sign-in.js). The other problem is because of this, every environment in 2022.02 would have the same password for the guest account. It sounds like from talking to support at Archibus, the recommendation is every production environment should…

  10. The Conference/Meeting room kiosk mode was silently removed. It sounds like the default direction since 2022.02 was to force staff to use the workplace dashboard view.

This was the original help file that describe the functionality. As clients are returning to a hybrid model, there area a few starting to ask about this feature. https://help.archibus.com/user_en/archibus.htm#../Subsystems/webc/Content/ess_manager/kiosk_concept.htm

Can this be brought back into the product?

  11. Checklists can get pretty lengthy. As such, a collapsible panel (or fly-out - with a status of inside questions ) would help to make them easier to navigate / complete.

  12. Problem:
When additional steps such as "Approve", "Estimate" or "Schedule" are added to a Service Level Agreement. you only need to click on the "Estimate" button to move to the next step and so on. This means you can simply move through the step with no addition of a "Trade" for example. The resulting WR will have no trade which has ongoing problems with the visibility of WR to users.

    Solution:
The SLA should have the additional functionality to make certain fields in that step Mandatory before you can finalise the step. You should be given the ability to click/select…

  13. Customers consistently ask for the ability limit the Problem Types that are displayed for a user on the request form based on location. For examples, many organizations use a mix external and internal service providers based on the discipline and the location.

    Possible Solution:
Add a configuration option in "Define Problem Types" that works similar to the Site/Building VPA lists. Problem Types with no restrictions applied will show for every location. Problem Types with a defined Site or Building list will automatically restrict based on the configured list and the selected location for the request.
    Considerations:
    The feature should work…

  14. Reservation Editing determined by group allowed to approve or additional field/security group. Currently without the Reservation Manager security group assigned, a user can only edit (per my understanding) a reservation that they created or where they are the requested for/by. Many clients, especially in government, have groups that manage large sets of rooms and need the ability to edit any reservation that falls into that group. There is a need for a field or security group to allow full edit rights to any reservations that falls into a set of rooms, without having to give access to edit every reservation.

  15. The selection of available field so enable users to add additional existing fields to the select fields. This list is currently limited and should be customisable to expand the list of field available.
If a custom user defined field has been added, it should be made available in this menu. The solution should be applied to all areas to give greater access to other data in the table

  16. Expand the use of SLA by adding problem type to the Manage Service Level screens.

This allows proper management of discrete reactive activities that attract differing responses

  19. BIRT reporting is very important for many of our users. Withdrawing support for BIRT would create a serious problem for them, and would be perceived by clients as a breach of trust. Tech support reports that support will continue only if the BP community expresses interest.

Other clients have also expressed interest in starting to use BIRT reports, and it is a tool that is useful for us to fulfill functional requirements (e.g., providing a presentable Lease Invoice, not the embarrassingly poor one that uses Archibus native reporting.)

Archibus Help announced that "BIRT [4.8] reporting will be removed in V.2022.03,…

  20. When Booking Restrictions is On, every single space represented as a Room, follows the restriction. So, there is no possibility to have a sector of few community desks booked by Employees from different departments, or divisions, etc.

Take parking lots as rooms for example. We shall need to have Booking Restrictions for desks but no restrictions when booking parking lots.
