Restrict Problem Types based on Location
Customers consistently ask for the ability limit the Problem Types that are displayed for a user on the request form based on location. For examples, many organizations use a mix external and internal service providers based on the discipline and the location.
Possible Solution:
Add a configuration option in "Define Problem Types" that works similar to the Site/Building VPA lists. Problem Types with no restrictions applied will show for every location. Problem Types with a defined Site or Building list will automatically restrict based on the configured list and the selected location for the request.
Considerations:
The feature should work whether the request location or the problem type are selected first.
The feature should honor and respect any other customer defined VPA.

This should be reflected in workplace as well, base on the location, the problem type are not the same.

The ability to identify/restrict Problem types by site, building and room restricts the end users from selecting the incorrect one. It also reduces the listing of problem types that the user can see and when there are many problem types a smaller list is much easier to manage. where we have specific types of rooms that have unique problem types we need to restrict the visible list as there are contractual consequences for selecting the wrong one. I see it as a "define location problem types" to the room level, in background data as VPA's can be a bit tricky to understand. We currently have a customisation to do this. We also have an effective date range for problem type. This applies a Problem type to a location for a certain time period. this is particularly helpful when a new building has just been handed over and is in some defect liability period. we apply certain problem types that route to a particular work team.
