User security - no description on icons when you hover
The icons up the top have no description when you hover over them. You wouldn’t automatically associate the icon with the actions inside.

View tags on block in the VBS
When tagging in VBS, you are unable to see the tags on the floorplan (you can see this on the stack). To view the floorplan with the tag, you have to access this through the spaces application. Can we put it on the VBS?

Toggle On/off Org units in VBS
In VBS, you can currently select only '1' Org unit and it will highlight the spaces assigned to that Org. It will be a very intuitive and quick method to allow users to Toggle On/Off one or many Org Units in VBS. The approach is similar to what's available in Space module for Space Types, the suggestion is to have the same for VBS for Org units.

Request using International Standard Time Zone abbreviations for Reports
Request using International Standard Time Zone abbreviations (EST, MST, PST, etc)., for any Reports that include Start Time Zone and End Time Zone, instead of using a city that resides within the time zone, but isn't necessarily a valid location for the organization. For example, using EST (for Eastern Standard Time) instead of America/Toronto (per attached).

Disable password expiry for user
In Serraview 3.0 there isn't an option to disable the User password from expiring.
Navigate to
Admin Settings > General Configuration > User Sign InWe would like the option to disable Serraview user password expiry.

Add archived records for cancelled reservations to Report Builder for reporting capability
Would like to have reporting capabilities for cancelled reservations. We inquired and learned from SV that there are archived records for any reservations that were checked-in and then cancelled. The archived records are not currently added to Report Builder and there fore cannot be reported upon. We are requesting that these archived records be added to Report Builder to enable reporting capabilities. Would also like to suggest on existing reports that show a blank field under the Check-in column on the Desk Booking report, that instead of a blank field it defaults to show "Desk not Checked-in", This would help…

Automatic workpoint allocation at hood level
In VBS there in many instances we allocate work points at a hood level, and the hood has a number of sub-teams below. This is because there are multiple validators for the sub-teams and we like to be able to see this level of detail in the VBS. For this reason, work points currently need to be manually allocated to the sub-teams below a hood which can be tedious. Allow the user or organization to set the default view in the Spaces module.
Allow the user or organization to set the default view in the Spaces module. The scheduled update for the week of Sept. 6th will make it such that, by default, the spaces on a floorplan will load rolled up to Level 1 of the Space Hierarchy. I would like the ability to retain the option to load the spaces at their lowest level, the way the currently are.

Bulk Update Reason for change
Users should have the option of entering a reason for making a change as a part of the bulk update process. This would help facilitate internal communication between multiple different space planners working together to manage a large portfolio.

Automatically Generate 'Current' view tab in Scenario Planner
Whenever a new Scenario Plan is created, have a button to display 'Current' context based on buildings/floors being included in the scenario. This should be able to be refreshed through a button or setup to refresh automatically.

Service Request Default Assignee Location Options
Currently, the Default People feature only allows for configuration at the Region level. The Location option needs to allow for lower level options - i.e. city, building, etc. In our instance, we have multiple planners per region and as a result cannot use this default feature. Service Requests are currently manually reviewed and assigned one by one. This is labor intensive and takes unnecessary time.

Enhancement: Add Retention Seats/Status in Spaces Module
Add an option to view seats with a RETENTION STATUS to Spaces->View Only -> Change Space Types View to UNOCCUPIED view.
Currently you can check Occupied or Unoccupied. The intent is to ensure data is visible so viewers don't assume all vacant desks are available.14 votes -
Adjustments to new Resources & Admin Settings Modules
In the proposed new structure of Serraview modules, some items are placed into categories that don’t seem to make sense. Below are my proposed changes to the structure:
Move “User Security” to Admin Settings > System Configuration. "User Security" is an action that is protected and given to a special role to ensure all users are approved before granting access.
Move Org Hierarchy, Space Types and Bulk Updates to Resources. These actions are commonly accessed by various roles for the work they perform and not as restricted.7 votes -
Clarity on "Area" metrics
Several standard reports include an "Area" metric but is unclear what that means. Some "Area" metrics are providing Gross SF and some Usable SF but continue to say "Area". Ask to retitle the column header to understand what type of space is being captured and provided in the reports.

Vector based graphics instead of raster based
Can the system be modified to use a vector based graphic for the background rather than the current raster based format? When zooming into the floor plan, or printing out the floor plan, the background pixelates extensively, especially on larger floor plate files. Because of the pixelation, we will need to rework quite a few of our CAD files to make them presentable to our client.
I've attached a couple of examples, vector based image from current CAFM system, and the same floor in Serraview.

BOS Sort and Filter
As a Move Manager,
I would like better sort and filter options in the BOS UI
So that I can more easily get to the information I need to access.Currently, you can only sort based on the occupant name. It would be nice to be able to sort by to/from location, Workstation type, and/or other details.
The filter options in BOS show data from the entire portfolio, rather than data specific to the particular move project a user is in. It would be helpful if the filters for Team, From Floors, and To Floors display/allow you to select only…
