  1. Add a new type Archibus in the field definition : 'URL' or link
    When the field is in a grid / repport, display the value with a link to open directly the url in a new tab of the browser.
    When the field is in a form, a button to open the url in a new tab.
    When you save a new URL; chek the format of the data (http://... or ftp...) and url formated.

  2. Workplace currently allows booking of meeting rooms. For flexible organisations looking to offer booking of IT, AV tech and work equipment resources, the workplace interface would make an excellent kiosk screen for resource only bookings. In addition to the functions available in web, camera barcoding, checking in / out of resources and equipment would make it a really useful addition for flexible / hybrid working.

  3. Currently it's a single field to track a numeric value for prioritizing projects. Clients with a large portfolio need a way to streamline what projects to prioritize. The project area should have a matrix weights and values that affect the ranking of a project which clients can define.

    For example the matrix can be along a measure of risk or feasibility (high to low) vs Impact to align to corporate priorities ie. work stoppage, quick wins, regulatory, profit gains etc.

  4. With Accessibility being added to the application, it should be on by default and not even a configuration parameter.

    Having to debug issues with it on and off adds considerable time to implementation for both the consumers and for ARCHIBUS. Having to support only one development stream is in everyone's best interest.

    Its 2021, accessibility should just be there and there really isn't a valid reason why someone should want to turn it off.

  5. The empty schema database that ships with ARCHIBUS should only have the bare essential users (AFM, SYSTEM, GUEST) and roles to get the application running.

    If you feel like the large volume of users & roles are needed, it should still be empty, but perhaps a task under system admin can be run to generate those users and roles.

  6. It would be useful to be able to put a pin on a site map to identify a specific location for exterior service calls that do not adhere to a building/floor/room criteria. We regularly submit service calls to our Grounds division and it would be useful to accurately locate a problem area.

  7. Starting in 25.3, craftsperson enter time as "Work Logs". These cannot be deleted via the Maintenance Console like assignments could previously.

    We’re finding that many craftspersons don’t care for the start/stop functionality in the Mobile app and manually enter their hours on Mobile or the Maintenance Console. Supervisors and admins are still expecting to be able to edit and remove work logs when needed. It is not uncommon for there to be mistakes that need corrected.

    Ideally, either supervisors would have the ability to delete these, or a security group could be added to control permissions for deleting work logs.

  8. A standard feature of other maintenance applications (i.e. Maximo) is to provide a forward maintenance planner or 52 week planner. We really struggle to do this in Archibus. We have set up all our schedules with dates and frequencies so its must be possible.

  9. If the end day does not fit exactly on the day of the meeting, then the reservation will not be created.

    Web central is OK, sets the correct end date. But MS Outlook sets the specified date and it probably makes Archibus problems.

    A message is written in the log that the end date does not correspond to the required one.

    The recurrence end date is invalid. To create the reservation, first use the recurrence dialog to correct the end date.

  10. A client has mentioned they need staff to know where the fire wardens sit, these people are often volunteers so they are not tied to a specific organizational unit. They have a title but it may not be fire warden, it may be the administrative assistant with the User defined field that states they are a fire warden.

    The workflow is something like this. The fire warden is notified ahead of time that there are staff wanting to book desks in the office space. So they go and also book a hoteling desk. The staff will also need ways to…

  11. Workplace -> select a building -> Book a Meeting Space

    • Choose an available room and then click on the Book button
    • Choose any day and time and then click on the Next button
    • The Organizer dropdown menu can get very long depending on the number of employees belong to the selected department. It's not uncommon for a department to have over 100 employees so being able to search through the list and limit the results instead of scrolling through what could be a very long list could be beneficial.

  12. Department box functionality is confusing to users.

    Suggestions: 1) only show box if manager, or remove restriction so all employees in department can see eachother, 2) change text from Search Employee --> Search Employees in Department
    This is not versatile to other user types i.e. non manager.

  13. Workplace user Service Request screen gives information but needs more, for example if a Request is rejected there is no information as to why is was rejected? which means the user will need to access web central to get more detail. It would be good if they could review the history of the job and maybe update and resubmit

    Cancelled Jobs just come off the list so the user has no records, i know that emails can be used, however that is just another place to look for the information, it would be better if it is in one place.

  14. It would be good for a building operation helpdesk manager to be able to see and manage, followup on jobs rejected during the approval stage. At the moment only the requester can act on this status within the console.

  15. Determining room counts and finding vacancies based on employees having multiple rooms. Available rooms and vacancy highlights do not consider secondary rooms.

Edit Archibus Data Dictionary Enum List Validation check, ab-edit-data-dictionary.axvw - can we add some kind of validation check to enumlist so that it is in the correct format and enum value is actually in database? From time to time, admin user might make some update on enumlist incorrectly and when the server is restarted, it cannot be boot up because there is an issue with the enumlist, usually it is the enumlist format is incorrect or the db value in the table does not have a matching enum value in afmflds.enumlist.

  17. Provide support for alternate messaging apps such as Cisco Jabber. We use iPads and trades do not have an Apple ID and therefore cannot use the Apple Messaging app. We use Cisco Jabber internally or Microsoft Teams.

  20. In workplace hoteling there is a department dropdown in the search to highlight spaces on the floor by department. For some organizations, this is too granular and they would prefer to see it by division. An additional dropdown or configuration option on which dropdown to see would be very useful for these organizations.
