There are a lot of views we use for editing that would be useful to have as read-only for our consumers. Sometimes we want to customize the content, but often we just want them to not be able to edit things. When that is the case it would be easier to keep up one view for both edit/define and read-only/view.
I may be missing some easy method with security groups or roles. Having documented, consistent, method of setting this up across domains would be helpful.Sarah Gardescu supported this idea ·

We are still on 23.2, but it sounds like this has not changed.
Right now we use a two step workflow to update room assignements (Space Edit users only!):
1. Use Space Console to complete room type or dp changes. Used because we see the room in context.
2. Open new tab for define rooms... find the same room id... and complete the rest of the details, including if we have shared rooms.
Could a first step be to allow the define rooms view for the selected room to be opened with an edit button from the Space Console edit view? -

I will add 'user logged out', or maybe timed out, or last activity, if possible. When our server has trouble I often want to see who was logged in so that I can ask them what they were doing in there. Parsing the log file is possible, but not that useful. And, yes, in the US where everyone works for us, so I hope less privacy concerns.
I also scrape the log for active usernames for certain one-off notifications.
