Add a banner to inform users of upcoming maintenance/new features
Make it possible for admins to add a banner on the Workplace pages to inform users e.g. of an upcoming maintenance or new features.
It should also be possible to add a link in the banner, directing users to a page with more info (e.g instructions for using a new feature).

We have implemented this as a custom feature, and it has worked really well. Users love it. It can be turned on/off by an app parameter. We also set an additional param to set it to auto-expire on x-date. The details of the popup can be customized in messages.

I agree with Loic in that it should be available for Workplace and Web Central services, and it would be ideal to be able to configure one banner message for workplace and a separate banner message for web central services.

I could be nice to benefit from this feature also in WebCentral (not only Workplace portal).
