Rename option for hoteling spaces
Feedback from many employees across our org, including the Senior Leadership Team, find the term "hoteling" uninviting. It makes people feel less-valued because they have to use a temporary space. (hotels are short term uncomfortable, inconvenient, not 'home', etc.)
It would be great if we had the ability to rename hoteling stations (and hot desks) with our company's lingo. Or, the ability to make custom space types reservable (I believe currently they are seatable) would also work.

Review suggestions
Someone should review the list of suggestions listed here. There are many outdated ideas that have been implemented - these should be marked as resolved. Some ideas are 2 years old and probably aren't going to be considered - they should be marked as such.
Also, there are many duplicates, and if grouped together would have a higher vote count.
There are a lot of great ideas posted that really should be considered.

With the many new additions of conference rooms with TVs and video cameras since the pandemic it would be great to have a new Pin to represent a TV for presentations and/or video conferencing to add into rooms such as kitchens and conference rooms.

Admins Log In As Another User
As a power user and manager of all the SIQ configurations, I often need to test out a change to ensure it's working as expected such as a desk restriction and don't always want to interrupt someone else's work to test out my change. Another use case is when I'm creating any training/documentation and need screenshots for a non-admin user.
As a functionality I have with other systems I admin, I am proposing that SiQ consider a functionality that allows us to "log in as" or mimic a user to test out configuration changes so we can better see what…

SSO users to block/close office via SiQ
Please allow the SSO users to block/close the office via SiQ so no one can book. I currently have to go in and book each seat under my name and then "confirm/attest" each seat for every day I need the office closed for on-sites. And if I do not "confirm/attest" my seat will become available to book again and people start to come into the office. It doesn't matter how many coms we send out about office closure. Reporting Issues in the Maintenance Section
Is there a way that Facilities can track employee requests by location? Our Company has multiple locations. How do we set it up so that the email/point person is location specific per issue/request? We don’t want to have one person filtering requests for all locations, nor do we want each location receiving issue notifications for each other’s location(s). (i.e., NY shouldn't be notified that someone is too hot in the their office in CA.) Is there anyway to have the tickets in the Maintenance Section separated out by location and separate email distribution lists?

Allow Department Admins to book unrestricted Hotel Desks
Currently our exec assistants who book on behalf of the dept's the support can only book hotel desks if the hotel desks has a department allocation. They cannot book for others a desk that has NO restrictions. This does not make sense, as anyone should be able to book an unrestricted desk.
Please consider updating the logic for booking on behalf of functionality to include unallocated hotel desks.

View employee names on booked hotel desks
We are getting many requests from our employees to be able to view employee names on the floormap of reserved hotel desks. Currently you have to either search on an employee in the search bar to click to see their bookings, or click on a gray hotel dot to view a pop-up of who reserved the desk.
Modifying this behavior to display the employee name on the map would improve user experience and remove booking friction exponentially so that employees can quickly pick a hotel desk closest to the teammates they want.

profile pictures
People's profile pictures should be available in the web application, not just mobile app. And should be able to be uploaded automatically like other information. Outlook/Teams displays our company pictures so it should be able to pull through easily?

When a Hotel Desk is changed to Primary Seat
When a Hotel Desk is changed to a Primary Seat, could the system then send out a notice to any future reservations that they will need to find another seat within the facility, as that one has changed usage.

make all names visible to print on shared desks
when there is two or more employees sharing a workspace, make all the names visible to print, as the floor plan is shared with the office staff

reports or confirmation sent to employees with dates checked in
We sometimes forget to write down the days we were in office, we should have a way of pulling our own reports so we can have a list of dates we were in the office. COnfirmation emails are great when you book, but if you cancel for any reason, theres no cancellation confirmation or anything.

Allow the Location Admin role to book a desk for someone else. This functionality is currently limited.
