  1. Create a workflow rule to Archive Compliance event data to the hactivity_log. Create views to accommodate for archiving to view archived events. For example, all archived events view.

  2. It would be helpful to filter for work requests that have a Checklist from within the Maintenance Console Filter.

    In addition, the ability to see the checklist embedded in the Work Request Details view would be extremely helpful. Once a wr is completed and closed, using the Search and Manage would allow the ability to still review the checklist and results that pertain to that work request.
    I understand the Maintenance Survey Report is available, but this is difficult to navigate and having it right with the wr is ideal.

  3. Add a new functionality where the “holders of a workstation” can free the usage for some time (or undefined).
    It they free the workstation for an indefinite time they should be able to recover it as well

  4. Currently the PM Planner has a filter for PM Date Status option of 'Missed'. This includes PM's that have not been completed as well as those that were not generated, and requires looking at each individual PM to determine the reason for the flag.
    Breaking the 'missed' status into 'Not Generated' and 'Not Completed' would be a more ideal reporting/planning feature for those clients wishing to differentiate.

  5. With this addition we would be able to look to add pre set checklist/inspections before a work request can be issued. The use case here is the need to provide work permits/ method statements often these need to be in place before the work can start. We would be able to create detailed questionnaire forms for these requirements. This will add to the flexibility of when these can be assigned and managed and force workflow.

  6. Regardless of the sort applied, the maintenance console always pushes out/exports data and displays it sorted descending by WR_ID even if a custom sort has been applied (say Location ascending). Clients want the export to come out as they see it within the application. We are asking to make sure any custom filters and sort column selections that have been applied are passed into the Exported file as well.

  7. Recommended validations for Craftsperson Dates, Times, and Hours Worked
    · Date Started and Date Finished may not be earlier than the Work Request date created (or the date when scheduled)?
    · The actual hours cannot be higher than the difference between the actual Time Started and Time Finished. 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM is 1 hour, but you can save 2 Actual hours as an example.
    · Cannot add time for a craftsperson if he/she recorded time in the same period on another work request.
    · Recommend performing these validations on save (Both WebCentral and Mobile).

  8. Is there a way of adding the building/floor info to the pdf title?

    The name ab-sp-console-drawing-pdf-none-space-2021-02-04051207.961.pdf is not very useful and takes a lot of time to rename each one.

  9. With Version 25, any mismatch between location of WR and location of Equipment is detected and not allowed. On web central, a pop up is displayed asking the user if they would like to change the WR location to the equipment location or, if they have rights to, if they would like to move the equipment to the WR location. On mobile, if you select a different building/floor/room after adding a piece of equipment, it immediately removes your equipment from the WR without any prompt.

  11. Can there be some sort of table structure that store records of extra field definitions without needing to add a new field via customization? Then the reports can also look for these extra fields? That way administrators can quickly create new fields for a table.

    1. In the application header, the user uses a drop-down menu to select a site or building.
    2. From that point onward, every view the user visits is restricted by that site or building
    3. User can switch the site or building selection at any time.

    The implementation would be similar to VPA, but it would be controlled by the user. It would be added on top of any existing VPA that the administrator has already set for the user.

It has been brought to my attention by clients and confirmed by Archibus that with the newer versions of Smart Client (Probably v2022 and after?), users will be kicked after 30 minutes of inactivity. In all other previous versions, users were able to remain in Smart Client indefinitely. This is favorable for our CAD/Revit users who may spend their entire day in CAD/Revit or Smart Client. Archibus says this change was made because the indefinite connection was problematic for SSO users so they've now hard-coded a 30 minute timeout.

    I'm suggesting that this Smart Client timeout be configurable. A setting…

  14. When using the Asset Disposal Console, you are able to review activities assigned to the asset, such as: assessments, work requests, project actions and hoteling requests.

    There is no indication where PM Procedures are assigned to the asset (either by location or equipment).

    When an asset is decommissioned, there should an indication of active PM Procedures so that they can be removed from the system, otherwise they continue to trigger work requests even after the asset has been decommissioned.

  15. In WebCentral & Workplace, show the version number again (it used to be in "about").
    Now there's no way for a user to indicate what version he's using.
    This is paramount for support.

    Suggestion : it could be visible in the menu in bottom/left or in the "my profile" popup.

  16. This applies to more than Space. It is a universal idea to provide a means to pass variable values to a view in Archibus through a URL. Let me start by giving the most basic example of it's potential usefulness. If you had a spreadsheet you sent to a fellow employee with rooms listed in it each of which was in fact a hyperlink. The person (also an Archibus SSO user) receiving the spreadsheet could click on any room number in the sheet and it would pop up an Archibus locate rooms view that would show them the building floor…

  17. Having the ability to find others, whether in a hotel or assigned seat, is great, but can provide a liability with stalking behavior. Like many apps today, It would be good to have an opt in/out and also create a friend/colleague list where you could control who is able to see your location.
    This is especially true for Sr. Executives that can be a target from a disgruntled employee.

  18. In current versions, when you configure a Service Desk SLA, you can only send the request to an Internal Service Provider and/or an External Service Provider. This means that the request can be assigned to as much as 2 different users. It would be very useful to be able to assign a Work Team as Service Provider (as for Maintenance SLAs).

  19. BIRT reporting is very important for many of our users. Withdrawing support for BIRT would create a serious problem for them, and would be perceived by clients as a breach of trust. Tech support reports that support will continue only if the BP community expresses interest.

    Other clients have also expressed interest in starting to use BIRT reports, and it is a tool that is useful for us to fulfill functional requirements (e.g., providing a presentable Lease Invoice, not the embarrassingly poor one that uses Archibus native reporting.)
