Auto-generating PPMs
We generate our PPMs several weeks in advance as our business requires advance planning for example to ensure resources and access requirements are in place.
For example, our PPMs are manually generated in blocks of a calendar month at a time, 2 months in advance. So at the beginning of January 2021, we generated the PPMs for the calendar month of March, for us this is approx. 4000 PPMs per month. We have 100k+ assets, over 600 buildings and 16k+ PMS records, the PPMs take a long time to generate, part of the reason for this is down to network…11 votes -

Add some appParameter to allow the enduser to set up the default highlight and label to show up when opening a drawing.

Move Date
Provide ability to configure number of days leadtime before a move date can be requested.
A lot of customers need X days notice before a move can be coordinated and scheduled. It would be very helpful to automatically disable dates from a calendar selection based on this setting. This will prevent users from selecting a move date of 'tomorrow' if the move team requires 5 days notice for planning and coordintation.
Might even be helpful to have this at a building by building level

Parts Inventory - Stock Take (Physical Count) in Mobile
Web Central allows for the capturing of the Physical Count of Parts per Storage Location and then running an adjustment process to update the quantity available from the physical count. A mobile functionality to capture the Physical Count of Parts per Storage Location will improve the turnaround times, accuracy, and user-friendliness of this process i.e. an Inventory Manager can sync the information to the app on a device, update physical count values and then sync back.

File name of PDF / Docx floor plans more intuitive
Is there a way of adding the building/floor info to the pdf title?
The name ab-sp-console-drawing-pdf-none-space-2021-02-04051207.961.pdf is not very useful and takes a lot of time to rename each one.

Backward Compatible Patch(s) for KB's
Clients upgrade every 18-36 months. Issue patches that are backward compatible for items that are fixed in the next release(s). Backward compatibility for 2 full versions would be ideal. As continuous upgrades are not a solution for on-prem enterprise long term clients.
And example: Workplace IIS SSO is fixed in v25.2 but a fix is not available for v25.1.

Improve Esri/ArcGIS Integration
The Esri / ArcGIS platform provides unique capabilities for applying location-based analytics to facilities/workplace practices. The platform provides the ability to gain greater insights into data by using contextual tools to visualize and analyze data.
There are many opportunities for our customers to leverage Esri technology to solve problems involving location -- particularly for our customers who have campus environments; e.g. hospitals, universities, corporate, government/military, etc.
Strengthen the Archibus-Esri partnership and improve the Archibus-ArcGIS integration with ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Indoors.

Make the tabs on the Maintenance mobile app (WR details view) configurable
When a Maintenance Craftsperson opens a WR on mobile often time they don't need all the different tabs. Majority of the clients don't use Parts or Tools. If there was a configuration option to hide these it would help in reducing the clutter on the mobile app to a large extent.

Commas in a file name
We ask the possibility to remove the commas in a file name automatically when a user uploads a new document with commas in the file name or the possibility to implement a check to avoid the uploading of a file containing comma/s in its name.

We are seeing more requests for single service desk and asset management systems that will support Operations and IT. Has there been any discussions of building an extension to interface with Service Now or build ITIL processes and functionality into ARCHIBUS?

Ability to add hyperlinks to Service Request Instructions
Many times the facilities team needs to provide a hyperlink to a document or another site on the Service Request Page. This allows the user to gather the required information before they submit the request.

Display the Title of the active Home Page rather than "Home"
In versions before 25, home pages displayed the title of the selected page. Now the title is only shown when the ... are selected and the drop down list of available pages is shown. While Home references the navigation that you are "Home", it would be helpful for users with different pages to see the page name displayed.

Ability to configure the level the Navigator starts at.
As of v25.1, when a specific user has less than 10 applications assigned to them, the top-level (or starting point) of the navigator will be at the Application level, rather than the Domain level. There are no settings to control this behavior OOTB. Any sort of change to this behavior would be a customization to the navigator's design.
Now in v25, what level the Navigator starts on is a variable that has to be considered when providing tech support, instructions, documentation, etc.

Option to sort orders by site
We need to have the option to sort orders by site on Mobile like the web version does. Right now when we sort by location and it breaks the site down by building / floor / room.

Personalized Stars/Flags for Work Requests in the Building Operations Console
The ability for all users to be able to apply a star [or other type of flag], that only they can see, to work requests within the building operations console .
This would be similar to what you see in most email inboxes. It would allow users with high volumes of work requests to help organize them better and find work requests that they want to focus on faster. Ideally the ability to flag a work request would work like a checkbox where you would click on it and a star symbol [or similar] would show.

We are able to remove this option from web central, however, there does not appear to be a way to remove it from Workplace. It would be nice if ARCHIBUS could add an app parameter, AbEssentialFacility.GuestAccountPermitted, similar to AbSystemAdministration.GuestAccountPermitted

Make the Energy Star export available under Energy Management
The "Export Energy Star Data" task is currently only available under the Green Building application. It would make sense to have this available under Energy Management as well.

No option for reserving a room by floor plan in Mobile Framework
There is an inconsistency with how Room Reservations can be done using Workplace versus the Mobile Framework.
Reserving a room in Workplace can be done by viewing a floor plan and selecting an available room but on the mobile framework, the user is required to enter search criteria and is provided with a list of available rooms.
However, with Hoteling, a user is able to select a building and floor and then choose an available room from the floor plan.
So Hoteling provides functionality somewhat similar between both interfaces but Room Reservations does not.

Disabling Move Management Emails
This request is for a configuration option to disable Move Management emails.
The Move Management application can be configured in a variety of different ways, it's often that emails are unnecessary and confusing. If emails are enabled for the Archibus system because they are needed for other applications, there is no setting to specifically disable Move Management's emails.
