Especially useful for Landscape vs. Portrait. Right now we get everything printed landscape even though some buildings are long the other way. If users could pick the best template that would help. (We are on 23.2, so maybe this has changed.)
We have not seen an easy option to either:
1. Have each floor plan have this set as a value, and when the user generates the pdf floor plan use alternate templates. (Best option)
OR
2. Have the user pick a button for landscape vs. portrait. (Acceptable)
OR
3. Some sort of "rotation" option, even if that means sideways text in the pdf. This could get us back to a single template.Sarah Gardescu supported this idea ·

Agreed that this may be an issue for some. (We are upgrading this spring from 23.3) We usually only know the Dept. ID. We do have the business rule that the Dept. ID. is unique, so in our current version we can enter the Dept. ID and it fills in the Div. ID for us. Similar for room types / categories, we pick from the detail list and have it fill in the category.
We are going to have to have another screen open to look up data so we can key it in.
I do see where some people would want to force this behavior. Also if it is speeding things up to do it this way, then perhaps train people.
