Limit Layers Displayed on Floorplans
Currently, all published layers display in Workplace floorplans. Many organizations publish many layers. Web Central views can control which layers display, but Workplace cannot. Perhaps a system parameter? Or a new publishing rule dedicated to Workplace. Best would be different settings for different Workplace application.

I would add that OnSite Mobile also has the same type of need. Maintenance Technicians need to see more layers, while requestors need to see the least amount of info. For the WP Portal, it's a security issue and need-based. For OnSite, it's need-based. As a technician, I need to turn on/off the Mech, Elect, and Plumbing layers.
Publishing rules with different plan types for the different areas, including an application parameter to assign a plan type to Web Central, WP Portal, and OnSite mobile, would be helpful. But OnSite would need the option to select the plan type. By default, they would want to see the base fp, but then they would need to see mech or elect or plumbing or any combination of these, depending on the type of work they are doing.

Can't agree more : it would be great to have an application parameter specifying which layers to display in Workplace (GROS & RM being the minimum).
Especially on mobile devices, too many drawing layers displayed lie heavy on the performance and user experience.
I'm only referring to Workplace (not WebCentral where selecting layer is usually easy to achieve).

Is this what Plan Types are for?

Another use case : some security equipment (e.g. cameras, safes) should not be visible in the drawings for the majority, but only to a specific group of users.

Use Case:
Company XYZ needs different types of users to view Floor Plans that are relevant to each of those user types.· Space Manager: Needs to have only the core Architecture and Room graphics displayed.
· Asset Manager: Needs to have only the core Architecture, Room Graphics, and relevant assets displayed.
· General Employee: Would like to see a floor plan that displays an easier on the eyes view, less technical. Analogous to a Mall layout, displays an uncluttered view of the floor for easy navigation.
Allow different types of end users to be able to see a floor plan view that is most useful within the context of what information that is of most interest, in an intuitive and uncluttered way.
Enhancements to both the Enterprise Graphics Publishing and the WC Floor Plan viewing.
