Booking Rules Based on User Role/Title/Level/Classification
Would like to be able to restrict bookings/reservations, based on the users Job Role/Title/Level/Classification
For example, we'd like for only VPs to be able to book Offices, and not allow a contractor to do so.
Or, we'd like for only a Manager/People Leader to book a Manager Station, and not allow a regular FTE or contractor.
Different roles should also be able to book in advance for different time periods beyond the default period

An enhancement has been released to Serraview Engage to provide new booking rule configurations based on users grade. For more details on how this configuration can be used, please refer to the Serraview Knowledge Centre.
Read more about this feature in the May 2024 Release Notes on the Serraview Knowledge Centre. Contact Eptura Support or your CSM if you have any further questions on this feature.
Thank you for helping improve Serraview and Engage. Please submit, vote and comment on your favourite ideas on UserVoice to help us keep improving Serraview.

As an Engage admin,
I would like to create custom booking rules (based on Person custom fields)
So that I can manage who can book different spaces on a more granular level. -

This will allow our Client the ability to manage organizational hierachy established.

For our specific requirements, we would want to restrict booking according to person "type" being a staff or student. Currently this would be distinguished by the structure of an email address, but this could be also provided by other data such as "Employee Type".

Please enhance booking restrictions to allow users with specific roles/secured actions to book desks ahead of a longer period of time (e.g. 2 weeks), and anyone without that access could only book ahead of a shorter period of time (e.g. 1 week).

The ability for some people to have an elevated permission to allow them to book further than the defined value.
A use case is that we would like executives to be able to book further than the general user base so that they can have first preference on desks.

We have a similar idea submitted - this is very much needed!

Keep desk booking permission intact up until a certain time before the booking to allow users external of the permission to book.

Client feedback logged on 04/01/20:
"Ability to create free address/ hoteling space booking restrictions based on HR attributes (e.g.: HR employee type "flex worker" allows user to book space in specific space records, neighborhoods, or zones)"
"Ability to create free address/ hoteling space booking restrictions based on space/ area attributes (e.g.: HR employee type "flex worker" allows user to book space in specific space records, neighborhoods, or zones)"
"Ability to create free address/ hoteling space booking restrictions based on custom schema/ user defined attributes (e.g.: HR UDA "flex worker" allows user to book space in space record, neighborhood, or zone with UDA or zone= "flex space")"
"Ability to create free address/ hoteling space booking time restrictions (e.g.: space cannot be booked for more than 14 consecutive days)"
"Ability to create free address/ hoteling space booking restrictions (e.g. HR cost center must match space, neighborhood, or zone cost center in order to book, HR record must not be assigned to a workspace in the same building)"
Current Workaround: None.
Additional information: Space Planners should be able to configure space restrictions for specific spaces, types of spaces and neighborhoods of spaces.

As an Engage Reservations user I'd like to be able to offer up my desk to be bookable for the period of time that I'm on vacation
