We currently have a customisation for mixed LDAP non LDAP There are several organisation in my visibility that have customised this. It is good for us because we can trouble shoot a user issue by switching the user back to non LDAP and log in with a generic password to see what the issue is. Our customisation uses a single instance of Tomcat. Multiple Instances of Tomcat means multiple administrative effort.

We have that customised on the PM Schedule groups to allow for various groups to be generated xx days in in advance so when the generation window is set the advanced days will be added to the end date for that PM Schedule group. the only pitfall is catching the ones before that window when initially setting it up

The ability to identify/restrict Problem types by site, building and room restricts the end users from selecting the incorrect one. It also reduces the listing of problem types that the user can see and when there are many problem types a smaller list is much easier to manage. where we have specific types of rooms that have unique problem types we need to restrict the visible list as there are contractual consequences for selecting the wrong one. I see it as a "define location problem types" to the room level, in background data as VPA's can be a bit tricky to understand. We currently have a customisation to do this. We also have an effective date range for problem type. This applies a Problem type to a location for a certain time period. this is particularly helpful when a new building has just been handed over and is in some defect liability period. we apply certain problem types that route to a particular work team.
