Booking Available or Blocked based on time/day
Block out days/date range – Ability for administrators to manage availability at scale by country, region, market, building and floor. E.g. Weekends, Public Holidays, Christmas Closedown, Special Event, Division Day, Building Maintenance or Outage
Examples:
- Set reoccurring, no bookings on Mondays and Fridays
- No bookings on Dec 25th
- No bookings after 12pm
- No bookings before 8am

An enhancement has been released to Engage, Booking Window. Admins will be able to set Engage to only allow bookings to occur during a business-defined booking window. This also allows you to prevent bookings outside those ours, For example at midnight or on a weekend.
You can configure Booking Window rules globally or have unique booking window rules per site or per floor.

A future enhancement will allow the admins to define set dates where bookings will not be allowed, such as public holidays or company holidays.
Booking Window complements the existing Limit Booking by Date options, if you need to restrict bookings on a floor from or until a set date.

Admin should have the ability to remove desks/spaces from being able to be booked e.g. the space/desk or office is unavailable on Monday, Tues and Wed so you cannot book

Space Attributes - Have an option for desks in Serraview to be made bookable in Engage on certain days of the week only.
With how some teams work and new operating rhythms this could allow for a space that would otherwise be dedicated to a team that only comes in one day each week to become bookable to a wider audience outside of that day.

We would love to be able to block off full days (e.g. weekends) as well as timeblocks (e.g. 8pm-11:59pm; 12:00am-6:30am) to ensure users are not reserving spaces outside of building hours. Users accidently make reservations in the middle of the night all the time.
We also have scenarios where we need to block off days for construction or maintenance.
Ideally this configuration would not be part of the VBS but available for an Engage manager to edit as needed.
We're getting desperate for this feature to come. Please develop!

It would be great to be able to select a desk and if it is reserved due to be allocated or a space is reserved due to maintenance or cleaning or not bookable to keep social distancing. This would be especially useful for library, quiet, collaboration and meeting room spaces.

Currently the Engage Tool allows Users to book a seat for weekends and holidays. This needs to be disabled, as during ReEntry, offices are closed on weekends and employees are not allowed inside. This is causing unpleasent exerperience to employees who turnup on weekend.

It actually turns out that you can't actually limit building hours in Engage. We'd certainly love to restrict weekends, but would also like to prevent users from making reservations for times when buildings are closed (e.g. after hours, holidays, etc.).

Give the ability to turn off weekend days, for reservations.
Our offices are closed on weekends and special access is needed to flexibly onsite.
We would love to be able to turn of Saturday and Sunday as reservation options.
Having them enabled confuses our staff. -

To proactively plan and communicate for go-live of a site for desk booking, you want to communicate ahead of time so people can start booking - there is no way to make the site active, while picking an actual "start" date, so people have the ability to accidentally pick dates which the site may not be physically open yet

It would be great if we could make desk and spaces only bookable for weekdays, and have the functionality to disable users ability to book on weekends. In a COVID landscape, prohibiting users from booking a space on a weekend will important.

As a business adopting a conservative re-entry plan, we would like to use Engage facilitate the booking of workspace base on the ‘ workplace bubble’ of our re-entry plan and require Engage to prohibit bookings of people not permitted to enter outside allocated times/days.

As a large complex organisation, we would like Engage to be enhanced to accommodate time based restrictions. As a sys admin user I need to be able to restrict access to book spaces with particular time frames for specific individuals.
For example we may want to provide only person A afterhours access to a specific workspace. Or in line with our Workplace Re-entry planning, to ensure there is no team cross over, restrict access to locations for team a/b sharing space on different days. This is a covid safe requirement of our BCP plan.
