Division and Department IDs versus Names
Most organizations use a code for the Division and Department IDs which mean nothing to the Facilities teams or general users. The users typically refer to the organization units by their Names.
Automatic ID look up functionality that was introduced in ARCHIBUS tries to solve this problem but it only does a partial job at best at this.
Some critical views where the Automatic ID lookup doesn't work are listed below:
1. Space Console - Organization section
2. Space Console Floor Plan Legends
3. Space Console - Floor Plan labels
There needs to be a better approach to surface the Department and Division names (amongst others like Building Name, Site Name, Employee Name, etc) on all views instead of only the IDs.

Yes, I'm not certain I think this is complete either. The Department Names still don't show in the Organization Section of the Space Console, just Division names.

What version was this implemented in? I am still having issues with automatic lookup in Maintnenace Console to display Building Name instead of the number.

We mostly need id AND name for Org structure. The folks working with it all the time know the id (number for us), but others need to both lookup, and differentiate between, similar numbers and names.
We have also found it helpful to only display active departments, or those that have space assigned. This limits the choices when appropriate. (We do have a lot of active departments that end up with no space for various reasons, so sometimes people see the entire list.) -

I agree with this suggestion, the other piece of this is that it's built as an all or nothing thing, if you choose to enable it, you see Name for everything in the lookup values, it would be nice to have application parameters to allow the client to select which values they want to see the name instead of the code (Employee, Org, Building, etc) depending on how they have built out their data over time.
