The other way to look at it is if the SpaceID for each polygon is tied with the Space Name, when a wrong floorplan is upload by mistake, prior to the upload completion, the system can detect a % threshold space name changes in the CAD drawings, then warn the user to confirm. Because supposedly, Space Names should be changed in Spaces or VBS module, not in CAD. So once this happens it is very likely to be a sign that human error is about to happen...

As a System Admin, we need a feature deployed before importing to detect or show prompt messages, if the data (Space Name, Space Type) changed drastically in the new CAD file. It can also be a trial run if feasible. We use SpaceID as a primary key to integrate with multiple other systems internally, and if a wrong floorplan (due to human error) is imported, the SpaceID will change and it interrupts the connection with other downstream systems.

This posed a version control concern as the system admins are the ones updating the CAD, if anyone can export CAD from Spaces/VBS, it will be chaotic to manage.
