Ability to make bookings at a site that is not your assigned location
- As a user I need to be able to book desks at my home office location, as well as multiple regional office sites, where I perform specialist activities.
- As an administrator, I need to be able to assign staff 'desk booking rights' to a site that is not their home office site.
SERRAVIEW - SET UP INFORMATION
Most of our large office hubs desks are open to everyone to book desks.
Some of our desks at small regional locations (under 20 desks), are restricted to only people assigned to that building or floor.
Our business have 'roaming specialists', eg IT support, trainers, auditors and area managers that require permission to be able to book desks at the small sites. We do not want to move the 'roaming specialists' home location to the regional site just so they can book desks or assign the user to multiple sites.
WORKAROUND
Based on the current functionality we have to assign the pool of 'roaming specialists' access to multiple regional sites for them to be able to book desks.
IMPACTS
This affects our occupancy data and reports as people who may only need to visit a site on fortnightly basis are being counted in desk ratio numbers and reports.

An enhancement has been delivered to Engage which gives further flexibility on how spaces at different sites can be booked and which spaces staff can book outside their allocated building.

We too have this problem for roles designed to support multiple business units (e.g. People Partners, Finance Partners etc). It's almost like we need a 'Partner' and/or 'Regional' override for people attached to certain teams that let's them book at sites, regardless of the booking restrictions set against a workpoint.
