SVG - Text - Labels
AutoCAD: allows the Archibus-CAD/CAFM administrator to use the following commands within AutoCAD to control the Archibus asset text on drawings.
• AFMASETHT – Asset Text height
• AFMASETORIENT – Asset Text Orientation
• AFM_ASETPOS – Asset Text Position
For all SVGs can these settings be added and retained in the generated file. Therefore in Archibus Workplace, Space Console all graphics reflect the CAD drawing and make the text and graphics more user-friendly.

In AutoCAD, unique text heights set on Asset labels will be pushed to SVG. Logically, all labels in the Space Console will initialy be displayed at the same fixed text height (existing design) and any Asset labels in the AutoCAD drawing that differ in height from the most commonly used text height in the drawing, will have a distinct height for each of those assets where they are set. Note: The Space Console Text Height Control, i.e. Make bigger of smaller will make all text height in the drawing the same size, overriding any distinct text heights.
Asset Text rotation in the AutoCAD drawing will now be in the published SVG file.
General non-asset text will now contain the text rotation in the drawing.

The challenge is output to the following: Space Console (digital), Space Console-Ad-Hoc PDF. If the AutoCAD user has gone to the trouble of placing and sizing txt for a specified asset (rm, em, eq, etc...) Then, for example, they know in the 2x2 room they were able to fit the employee name (name_last, name_first) either in the room or near the room with a leader in AutoCAD. Hence the AutoCAD Text height was specifically adjusted for this asset text. Would it be possible to utilize the CAD drawing text size if specified if not then default to a floor by floor text height parameter?

Regarding text position, Archibus already positions text as it is in the CAD drawing.
Regarding orientation, it's an issue we'll look to address.
Regarding text height, this is subject to discussion. Current implementation is to publish and show a fixed text height. In views like the Space Console, the user can uniformly increase/decrease that height. One comment here suggests a parameter: either do it this way (uniform height) OR show text height as it is in the CAD drawing. Would this approach be preferred? I'm assuming one parameter can be defined for the deployment.

I think the only thing I would recommend is to try a few different options here based on the floorplan size/orientation/etc. I wonder if maybe providing an application parameter where the customer is able to use "Use CAD text size in floorplan images for mobile and web central" or perhaps even a setting at the Building Level which will allow them to choose based on how the text reacts given the size/shape/orientation of the building. I would hate to see a solution lock something in and not give the flexibility when it doesn't work for another.

Agreed! For the most part how we see them in CAD - at least size, alignment, insertion point (position) are how we want to see them in a web/mobile floor plan. Also, documentation should clarify how/if the afm_dwgs.report_width (height, scale) affects things in either svg and/or pdf/word reports.
