Book hoteling by neighbourhood
Can there be an easy application parameter to turn on to enable booking by neighborhood? Basically this is a team space. For example some behaviors we would like to see on the workplace portal are:
A: When a user tries to book a desk, there is an automated restriction where they can only book the desks which is a part of a work team that they have active membership in.
B. When the user tries to book a desk on the portal, there is an additional field that can appear for the neighborhood which would be by default, restricted to the neighborhoods they are actively a part of.
Currently to do something like this, or at least the version A option, the system folks would have to either define a very elaborate role based VPA. However, this can be a bit tricky to confirm the functionality on the workplace portal.
It would be better to have a parameter that the workplace can utilize for turning on and restrictions such as hoteling by neighbourhood.

First iteration is complete. There will be additional work to continue improvement.

This is a very important requirement for our organization to enable hybrid space management where we want to define space by Teams/Departments/Neighborhoods while still practice hoteling among each Team or across Teams. I.e. priority to restrict or only book space with your own Team first, before you book in other Teams' available spaces.

Wondering if this approach, as a process, would be mixed with the more "traditional" book-a-desk approach. That is, do the processes mix in that some may be able to book specific desks while others indicate that they're coming in to sit in their neighborhood?
This would inform our approach. If the processes are allowed to mix, then neighborhood capacities must take into account desk bookings (and permanent assignments) in order to determine if they're full. And reporting has to mix these approaches as well... we have a booking report, but it shows just seat bookings, not neighborhood bookings. I'm curious how these different ways of occupying space work together, and what's the best way to show results.

Because of the continued evolution of space planning, companies are getting creative with how they offer their Hybrid Workplace.
Employees need the ability to submit a "Desk Reservation" without actually selecting the desk. Simply reserving a "Seat" on a specific floor or within a specific neighborhood is all that is required.
The request process to look at the floor (exists) and neighborhood (doesn't exist) capacity settings and not let the employee book a seat on an over capacity floor or neighborhood. Bonus points if the warning message could recommend a list of floors or neighborhoods that still have availability.
The results of this feature enhancement should be the same across all user experiences: Web Central, Mobile, Workplace.

We have had this asked by several clients.
The feature would allow users to books spaces only belonging to the teams they belong to on a certain date.
