Integrate Actual Space Occupancy information
With more and more office turning into Agile workplace, the need for Actual Occupancy tracking has never been so high.
While Serraview is proposing this feature OotB, the offer for ARCHIBUS customers is unclear as of when the integration will be available, at which cost and with what impact (security, architecture, maintenance, ...).
Numerous partners have worked on custom integration with a variety of sensors, which is fine.
On its end, Archibus could focus on providing ways to collect actual occupancy data (regardless of the source which could be badge readers, smart carpets, wifi signal, sensors, etc.) in a dedicated format and rendering this information in various modules (Space, Reservations, ...)
This could be achieved by letting the user declare points of measure and the linked zone (a room, a set of room, an entire floor / building) and then having custom connectors feeding some standard table with occupancy count for each of those points of measure along the day.
This data would then be used throughout the application in iconic views (highlights in Space Console), specific metrics or reporting (allocation, trends & benchmarks, reservable room actual usage against reservations,..)

Archibus provides solutions and proof of concepts around reporting occupancy and utilization from badge data and occupancy sensors (we have an example for Avuity sensors).
We are also working to enhance the proof of concept about utilization from occupancy sensors with data from an additional vendor, as well as transforming the proof of concept into a viable product.

We have many requests for integration with sensors; different brands, different methods of data availability. Can a solution really be universal?
