Allow dynamic labeling and highlighting, highlighting by additional attributes
Space Console should do the following:
- Allow more flexible label definitions
- Allow more flexible highlight definitions, such as:
- Exception highlights (e.g., highlight rooms that are assigned to a different org from current occupants)
- Broader occupancy highlights (e.g., highlight and indicate occupancy of hoteled space and permanent occupied space and team space together)
And there are requirements that touch on elements of Workspace Transactions that could be architected and delivered in a simpler way. Among them education and healthcare vertical requirements, such as:
- Highlights by research and sponsors of research
- Highlights by grant funding (note that some of this is accomplished OOTB by defining room types to track)

-
Attached is a screenshot for highlighting by the user defined field 'Sponsors'. I used a free-text field type, but Space Managers can also define it as an enumeration list that lists all the names of the sponsors. Using an enumeration list instead of free text field type, will enable different colors for each Sponsor.

This idea has been partially implemented in Archibus v25.3, which is the upcoming release.
In 25.3 we have added the possibility for Space Managers to select any existing field for rooms or add a new one and promote it to the Space Console's highlights options. This way, Space Managers can highlight a floor plan by any room field, as long as they have 'promoted'/'enabled' that field from the Define Rooms view.
For example, a Space Manager can add the user-defined field 'Sponsors' to Rooms (from Define Rooms - Rooms tab - Configure Fields) and then highlight a research facility's floorplan by Sponsors. And you can also display the Sponsors room labels.
Consequently, with v25.3 and the ability to add user defined fields, you can achieve broader/exception highlight right now by using a combination of solid and border highlights. Use solid highlight for one criteria/room field and border highlight for the second highlight criteria/room field.
We will keeping this idea on our Roadmap, so that we can look into the other highlight features that have been mentioned like Broader and Exception Highlights.

Maybe worth considering the View Definition Wizard for such ad-hoc highlight / labeling in drawings ?
