Booking Available or Blocked based on time/day
Block out days/date range – Ability for administrators to manage availability at scale by country, region, market, building and floor. E.g. Weekends, Public Holidays, Christmas Closedown, Special Event, Division Day, Building Maintenance or Outage
Examples:
- Set reoccurring, no bookings on Mondays and Fridays
- No bookings on Dec 25th
- No bookings after 12pm
- No bookings before 8am75 votesAn enhancement has been released to Engage, Booking Window. Admins will be able to set Engage to only allow bookings to occur during a business-defined booking window. This also allows you to prevent bookings outside those ours, For example at midnight or on a weekend.
You can configure Booking Window rules globally or have unique booking window rules per site or per floor.

A future enhancement will allow the admins to define set dates where bookings will not be allowed, such as public holidays or company holidays.

Group / Team Bookings
Engage users with the proper permissions should be allowed to book seats in a block. For example, a Team lead should be able to reserve a block of 5 adjacent seats, and then assign those seats to the different users that report to the team lead in the org hierarchy. Once booked, the system should send each affected user a notification detailing the time and place they've been booked.

Booking Rules Based on User Role/Title/Level/Classification
Would like to be able to restrict bookings/reservations, based on the users Job Role/Title/Level/Classification
For example, we'd like for only VPs to be able to book Offices, and not allow a contractor to do so.
Or, we'd like for only a Manager/People Leader to book a Manager Station, and not allow a regular FTE or contractor.
Different roles should also be able to book in advance for different time periods beyond the default period

Reccurring Bookings in One Transaction
Similar to Outlook (See Attachment) we have been asked by an upcoming client to be able to make multiple bookings in a single transaction/screen.
Like the attached

Show Names of Bookings and Allocated occupants on Engage Floorplans
When you zoom in onto the floorplan, it should show you the name of the person already booked at the desk or who is assigned to the desk if they have a permanent allocation.
If I could pan across the floor map and look for their names, then I could choose my seat based on where they’re sitting.

Reoccurring and concurrent reservation enhancements
As an Engage administrator,
I would like to be able to configure rules around the number of concurrent, reoccurring and back to back bookings users can make in spaces and desks.For example:
- Define which users to can make reoccurring bookings in some spaces
- Define which users to can make multiple concurrent bookings in some spaces
- Define which spaces a user can make concurrent bookings in, for example hot desks or team spacesThis will support Engage being used for other tasks such as car parking

- Building level concurrency limits - Configure per building how many concurrent bookings a user can make. Currently this is limited to a global setting.
- Building level Weeks in Advance - Configure per building how many weeks in advance a user can make a booking. Currently this is limited to a global setting.
- Separate concurrency limits for desks and spaces - Configure how many concurrent bookings a user can make in a desk and in a space

Reserve a "desk" functionality should include Offices & all workpoints
Enclosed Offices (polygon spaces) are treated like Meeting Rooms instead of Desk reservations in Engage. When booking an office we cannot default to an all day reservation. All workpoints should follow the same rules for 'Desk Reservations'.

Desk Attributes
It would be useful to be able to view and search for desk attributes whilst making a reservation. This would be useful for users that have specific requirements and want to identify specific desks for requirements such as ergonomics or dual monitors.

The ability to configure space types, desks and meeting spaces, with equipment and to enable searching within Engage is now available.
Please visit the Set up the Space Type and Equipment Filters page for more information on how to configure.
As some users would like to see the selected filters applied to the active floor plan, please add your votes to the Apply attribute filters to floorplan idea.

Ability to 'Check Out' from a reservation before the end time
If users leave a workspace before the reservation end time (particularly for 'All Day' bookings), would like the ability to 'Check Out'. This would allow staff to clean or just measure utilization more accurately.
I understand that the 'Delete' option will basically do what I'm asking but the terminology is not intuitive. I suggest adding a 'Check Out' button that will do the same thing as 'Delete' does today if a reservation is already underway. If the reservation is in the future, this option is inactive. Likewise, if a reservation is underway, I would suggest the 'Delete' button is inactive.

Remove limit on all-day booking, allow desks to be made available after cancellation
Currently when an all-day reservation is cancelled after the start of the check-in window, that desk will be reserved for the rest of the day even if the user has cancelled the reservation.
Can we add a setting to the engage config that gives Admins the option to decide whether desks are made available again the same day a reservation has been cancelled?
13 votesEngage allows desks to be booked again once someone has cancelled an existing booking.
Please note that there will be a short delay once a booking has been cancelled before the same user will be able to book another desk or the previously booked desk will be shown as available to be booked by another user.

Disable bookings by person
I am a system administrator or a specific role and I want to be able to disable the ability for a person to be able to make a booking through Engage.
I want to be able to manage this in the people directory, against a person's profile.
I want to be able to hide the information so that only a specific security role can see it.
I want to be able to bulk import to update this information and/or include it in our automated people feed.

Ability to make bookings at a site that is not your assigned location
- As a user I need to be able to book desks at my home office location, as well as multiple regional office sites, where I perform specialist activities.
- As an administrator, I need to be able to assign staff 'desk booking rights' to a site that is not their home office site.

Auto-Bump Bookings
Automatically cancel room & desk reservations if the user doesn't check-in after a configurable amount of time, so that others can use that space

Engage Check-In/Cancel Email reminder
When we receive the automated "Engage Check-In" email reminder at the beginning of the day, the CHECK IN link does a wonderful job in taking you directly to your reservation to check in. Super user-friendly and makes like easy. Great. Love it.
However, the CANCEL link does not have the same, user-friendly, functionality. Instead, it takes you directly to the Concierge Menu, and from there you must manually navigate to your reservation, and hit the trash bin icon to cancel your reservation.
Please give the CANCEL link the same functionality as the as the CHECK-IN link

Region level settings for smart social distancing features
The Feb 2021 smart social distancing tools (Book Safe, staggered entry and capacity limits) are ingenious ways to dynamically and automatically manage capacity and distancing.
However, there is a limitation for portfolios spanning different states/countries/regions - there may be different settings required for different local regulations.
Requesting that these new features are optimised to be assignable at a building or region level.
