Preselect mm as base metric units in Register Drawing popup if configured in afm_scmpref
With the following settings:
afmscmpref.basemetricunits = 0 (i.e. millimeters)
afmscmpref.units = 2 (i.e. per locale)
SmartClient locale = any locale using the metric systemWhen I open an unregistered drawing in AutoCAD + SmartClient extensions, the Register Drawing popup appears with Metric - cm preselected.
I expect the default to be Metric - mm. Allowing this default to be changed based on afm_scmpref we can avoid mistakes for clients where all drawings are in mm.
Note when I switch the radiobutton to Imperial and then back to Metric, the 25.2 SmartClient UI does select mm automatically…

Non-Asset text to remain on assigned CAD layer and not lumped into one TEXT layer when publishing to Space Console
Clients would like to see some non-asset text in Space Console for Exporting to PDFs. However, they do not want to see all notes, references and other non-asset text. Assigning all text to one layer limits the purpose of exporting the space console drawing to PDFs.
Allowing for text to remain on their CAD-assigned layer will allow customers to cut down on the number of drawing files to maintain and help in promoting Exporting to PDF

Enable SLO (Single Log Out) setting in Smart Client
This is a request for SLO (Single Log Out) to be implemented in Smart Client.
In an environment where SSO (Single Sign On) is implemented, even if users log out of Archibus, if they have not logged out of IdP (Microsoft Entra, Okta, etc.), they can log in without re-authentication.
However, some clients require re-authentication after logging out of Archibus due to their security policies. Therefore, it is necessary to set it so that you are also logged out of the IdP when you log out of Archibus. This is known as SLO, stands for Single Log Out.In general,…

Improve the Replace All Functionality
The Replace All function does not work for a majority of fields in the rmpct table. I would like to see this functionality more developed to make the button more reliable to edit in SmartClient without exporting in and out.

Maintain Case of AutoCAD File Names
When using drawing check-in/check-out, copies of the DWG files on the local PC are named in all lowercase, despite them being in uppercase on the server.
For example:
• File on server: BL-FL-01.dwg
• File on local PC: bl-fl-01.dwgWe have found this can trigger case-sensitivity errors, especially when XREFs are involved, in third-party applications that utilize and process the AutoCAD drawings. The errors are not within Archibus itself and there is no impact to Web Central or Workplace. We have clients who use third-party tools to publish AutoCAD drawings (stored on the Archibus server) for purposes outside of Archibus.…

Local logs disclose too much data
One of our customer did a comprehensive InfoSec audit to validate Archibus as a safe product. One medium point was about the logs that one can view from SmartClient. They seems to disclose too much data (server version), especially when errors occur (jdk version, tomcat version, etc.)
It would be nice to raise security, here are some hints :
- password protect logs viewing
- have verbose levels
- have a server settings / rights to hide "view logs" buttons (security group ?)3 votes -
Symbol ID Conflict with Same Type Names
When different families share the same type name, published equipment may be incorrectly replaced in the SVG.
To prevent this, we’d like to request changing the symbol id format from “Category + Type Name” to “Family Name + Type Name” or “Category + Family Name + Type Name”.2 votes -

Generate multiple area boundaries (Gross Exterior Areas) for publishing to Archibus
In the Smart Client Extension for Revit, only one boundary is currently allowed for gross area per floor. However, in my case, there is a building with separated areas on higher levels that cannot be combined into a single gross area.
I recommend allowing users to generate multiple area boundaries (Gross Exterior Areas) for publishing to ARCHIBUS. This flexibility would better accommodate complex building layouts.

Archibus SmartClient application accessibility
One of our clients is currently reviewing all their Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products to ensure they meet their accessibility standards. They are committed to providing accessible solutions to all their users, in line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
They use the Archibus SmartClient application and are currently assessing its accessibility compliance. However, they were unable to locate a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) or any detailed accessibility documentation for the SmartClient application.
Would be great if SmartClient application has been assessed for accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards or Section 508.
Enhance the accessibility features of the…

Smart Client Delete/Reallocation Pop-up Warning
There have been situations where it was in error that a floor was deleted or moved to a different building. A pop-up to confirm deletion, or even reallocation of building & floors would be ideal to avoid accidental or even confirm correct actions to be taking place.

Improve Text/Label Formatting Issues when Assets Published from Revit SmartClient
Labels generated for assets in-line or close proximity result in overlapping text making it difficult to determine asset code. Recommend some way to customize how resulting label text is generated from Revit SmartClient (i.e. rotate or assign an offset for certain assets). Another option would be to link Revit Annotation Symbols (tags) in published views to asset label text. This option would allow users to fully customize tag/text location in a Revit view prior to publishing. Additionally, looking for any recommended workarounds until this issue can be resolved. Image attached for context.

BIM VIEWER - Building Button
The "Building Button" in the BIM VIEWER is not consistent. It roots the users to the entire RVT file.
It runs well only when using the ARCHIBUS ACC BUCKET but does not works when using the CUSTOMER private ACC.
The button should :
1) Show only a specific published SET.
2) The PUBLISHING SET should be parametered at least in afm_actvity, as best by USER ROLE in order to manage who can view what.
3) The latest published version.Axel.

The data transfer via csv should better check the structure of the import file.
Datatransfer - csv-import - The preliminary check of the csv import template might be optimized.
It should check whether the data starts on line 2 or on line 3.
OR
It should indicate if there is no "#" comment on line 2.Reason:
It is currently possible to remove the comment "# .... " from line 2 and to enter regular data records directly from this line 2, which are then also imported (if there are several records). However, this results in the number of data records to be processed being determined incorrectly (always -1). This incorrect number is then…

Enhance Revit integration : units handling should be available for all Revit base units (also for temperature, volume, luminous int., ...)
Revit uses an internal base unit system (see attached screenshot) and only converts the units in the UI for the Revit user, based on the projects/user's preferences.
When mapping Revit parameters with units other than for area and length to ARCHIBUS, the base units are not converted to the ARCHIBUS user's preferences.
For now ARCHIBUS has only set up conversion rules for area and length values, but not for values destined for temperature, volume, or any other field type.
If there is a temperature parameter for example that is database driven en entered in ARCHIBUS as 0 (°C), it is…
