Another concept relative to pausing PM WR generation is to link PM generation to the status of Equipment. In theory there is no need to generate PM WRs for an equipment item that is flagged as anything other than "In Service", and has the added benefit of not being required to alter all the actual schedules associated to equipment that is not "In Service" but has not been disposed of.
The same principal applies to equipment flagged as "disposed". Although best practice would be to remove all PM schedules associated to equipment that has been flagged as disposed, this functionality would stop the needless generation of PM WRs for equipment that technically no longer exists in the asset inventory. -

In addition to having a consistent means of finding, editing and controlling emails, Building Ops related emails need to have a means of being turned off where they have no relevance to the client's workflow similar to the parameter now used to control escalation emails.

JLL has actually created this functionality on behalf of several clients and it is associated to a Security Group assigned to a User Role. In our use case, it provides visibility of "All WRs" as a Show selection list item while maintaining action and editing functionality as per default BOC Work Team assignments to craftsperson records. An example user for this functionality would be the residences team in a University who have WRs that fall within their purview and WRs that are serviced by a separate maintenance group within the University that they need to monitor regardless of who created them. They maintain the ability to action their own WRs but can monitor work being done by others with no ability to action them or be a part of the Work Teams that work is assigned to. Functionality such as this should be part of the default BOC setup.
