Workplace Self Service: Attaching Documents to Request
There is desire/ need to attach documents when submitting a Service request without having to disable the camera. Users would like to attach email messages, forms, documents as well as photos, that will give more clarity to the Service Request.
Maybe something that looks like the attached image

This feature is available in v2024.01.

This helps to provide additional and important information on service requests and improve usability.
Problem is:
If the user selects "Allow Camera", they will no longer be able to upload photos/files. In many cases, this leads to a hotline call.In principle, it should always be possible to upload files.
For usability, it would perhaps be clearer if the headings were named:
- Take Photos
- Upload files or Upload documents & photosRequest as implementation for Web.

And for web too?

This is very critical and causes issues for our clients.

Please put a high priority on this, because it is a requirement from all the Workplace users who are using desktops/laptops.

When you set up the workplace and link it with the service desk, specifically for the catalogue of services, many of the items in the facility management, may require to attach a document, excel file or word file, or picture.
In addition, in the creation of service catalog, the template for each service request creation proposes the option of document upload. So what is just missing is the alignment of the end-user interface. -

Typically when someone is using the Workplace Portal on their computer, they won't be taking the picture with their webcam, but rather uploading a file from their folder. This would be a very useful feature to add.

There is desire to attach documents when submitting a reservation request similar to what is available when using the self-service request screens in Workplace. Users would like to attach email messages, forms, photos, etc. that would support their reservation request.
