We are looking into a way to calculate the occupancy for assigned seating. We have situation where we have to assign wks to an employee permanently but it doesn't mean that this employee will show up every day in the office. But, it will affect our target capacity. We are looking into a way to ensure that specific wks are not available to everyone for booking as they are assigned to someone but also want to track to real occupancy for these wks.

We need to figure out a way that employees who are assigned to a workstation or enclosed office do not take up 100% occupancy for that space if they are only coming into the office a few days a week.
• For instance, if that employee only works 2 days/week, there needs to be a mechanism for them to confirm that they will be entering the work location on a specific day. Or if they will always come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they be assigned the workspace but they only count towards occupancy on those two days of the week.
• One example here is that an ADM may have an assigned workspace or enclosed office but only come in a few days a week so their office cannot be open in the reservation system for anyone to reserve. It needs to be assigned to them but can’t take up 100% occupancy if it’s only used 20% of the time that they are actually in the office.
• Another example would be someone who has an accommodation and has an assigned workstation to meet their needs. This workstation cannot be open for reservations for just anyone and the person may just come into the workplace a few days a week.
