Preventive Maintenance work generation, group work requests for similar Procedure
Many users still print their PMs after they are generated.
When using the View Active PM Work Orders view, setting the appropriate filters and clicking the ‘Paginated Report’ button, work requests print in woid & wrid order.
The PM Work Request Generator iterates thru the creation of work requests based on the Date to Perform and no additional sort fields.
I would like to see a way to add an additional "grouping" (not to be confused with the Grouping option that combines the selected grouping option on the Same work request)
I do still want separate work requests but would like them to generate and group on a PM Procedure and equipment id as well.
In other words:
If you generate your PM’s 1x per month with a Date to Perform of the 1st of the month and a 30 day completion window, all Monthly work requests will come out on that same day. Unfortunately, all the work requests are in no specific order other than by the date to perform (which is all the same date)
It would be ideal to control how the PM Work Request Generator iterates through the list of PMs to have them generate them by Due Date AND then PM Procedure AND then Equipment ID.
For example :
1. all PMs 1st by due date
2. Then group them by PM procedure (all exhaust fans, then the Generators, then the Air Handlers)
3. Then, if there is more than 1 piece of equipment for example exhaust fans - 1-50 1st, then the 4 Generators, then the Air handlers
Currently the system has them all mixed up and you may get 10 Ex fans, a Generator, a couple more fans, then an Air Handler, then more fans, and so on....
